Last night, Albany Creek Scout Group had the privilege of recognising one exceptional young man with the highest honour - Australian Scout Award (ASA).

Congratulations to Jack Small on achieving this incredible milestone and securing his place on our Honour Board.

Jack's journey to this award has been one of adventure, challenge, problem-solving, and determination. The hurdles he faced along the way were many, but time and time again, when he was told "not yet" or challenged to do better, Jack took the feedback in his stride. He returned stronger, better prepared, and ready to deliver. His resilience and perseverance have been truly inspiring and are qualities that will serve him well throughout his life.

Beyond his achievements, Jack is a remarkable young man with a heart of gold. He is caring, compassionate, and deeply empathetic towards others. A natural leader and supporter, he embodies the values of Scouting in everything he does.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the encouragement and support of the many people around him who continued to motivate him throughout his journey. To Jack's parents, family, leaders, and fellow Scouts—thank you for being part of his success.

Jack, we are incredibly proud of you. You have made your family, our Group, and the wider Scouting community proud. Your achievement is a shining example of what Scouting is all about: challenging yourself, overcoming adversity, developing new skills, and pursuing personal goals no matter what obstacles stand in your way.

Well done, Jack. Your Australian Scout Award is thoroughly deserved, and we look forward to seeing what you achieve next.

Family Free Event all this weekend at Old Petrie Town. Get up close and see the old steam engines run throughout the park! Great day out for the kids- PS be kind to the parking assistants they are all Scout families fundraising!

What an incredible weekend! Our Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and their families came together for an unforgettable ⛺ Family Camp 🌞 packed with adventure, community, and teamwork.

Our youth members absolutely smashed the action-packed program, taking on thrilling challenges and learning new skills. Highlights included paddling hard during canoeing, hitting the bullseye in archery, and conquering new heights on the indoor rock climbing wall!

A highlight of the weekend was our Annual Report Presentation and Dinner. A massive THANK YOU to our special guests who joined us for the evening to share a meal, celebrate our group's achievements, and support our youth. We truly appreciate your ongoing commitment to our scouting community!

Finally, a huge shoutout to all our leaders, adult members and parents who cooked, organised, and kept the entire weekend running smoothly.

🏆 Huge Congratulations to Our Newest Australian Scout Award Recipients! 🏆

We are incredibly proud to announce that three of our outstanding Scouts have achieved the prestigious Australian Scout Award!

Please join us in celebrating Blair, Charlotte, and Josh on this monumental achievement.
The Australian Scout Award is the highest award a Scout can earn. Reaching this milestone requires years of dedication, personal growth, and resilience. To earn this accolade, Blair, Charlotte, and Josh each had to:

Lead adventurous journeys and community service projects.

Develop personal skills, leadership abilities, and physical fitness.

Demonstrate deep commitment to the Scout Scout laws and community values.

Earning this award represents hundreds of hours of hard work, self-discipline, and teamwork. Blair, Charlotte, and Josh, your leadership inspires our entire group, and we cannot wait to see where your skills take you next.

Thank you also to the leaders, families, and fellow Scouts who supported them along this journey.

A huge thank you to the amazing team at Bunnings Warehouse Australia Brendale for their generous donation of two brand new drink containers! 🥤👏

The timing couldn’t be better, arriving just in time for our upcoming Family Camp. These will help keep all of our Scout families hydrated and will no doubt get plenty of use at future camps and activities as well.

We really appreciate the support from our local community and businesses — thank you for helping make our Scouting adventures even better! 💚💛

Join us as we celebrate an incredible twelve months of activities, awards, achievements, and youth engagement across our Group.
Each youth section will present an engaging skit, song, or activity during the evening — showcasing the amazing spirit and talent of our young people.
