The QUT Red Cross Society
The QUT Red Cross Society is the QUT Chapter of the internationally recognised humanitarian organisation, the Australian Red Cross. We run a range of social, educational and networking events that support the goals and values of the Australian Red Cross. Some of our most sucessful events include blood donation drives, charity trivia nights and an International Humanitarian Law Networking Series featuring speakers from well-known organisations and universities.
Our aim is to provide a platform for youth to have their voice heard and connect our members to various ways of giving back to our community – through volunteering opportunities, workshops, blood drives and fundraising events. We have links to the Queensland Youth Advisory Committee (QYAC) and alongside the other south-east Queensland universities, form the largest young volunteer base in Australia gathered in the one city.
