Weekend Short Term Respite - Gold Coast Recreation 🌊

Last weekend, our camp participants spent the weekend at Gold Coast Recreation Centre in Tallebudgera.

From exploring the surroundings to experiencing the excitement of HOTA Luminous Carnival, our participants embraced new cultural experiences, stepped outside their comfort zones, and built confidence.

The weekend was filled with plenty of laughs, new experiences, and opportunities to connect with one another.

What a fantastic weekend our participants had at APEX Camps in Mudjimba! ☀️

Our participants enjoyed exploring the vibrant Japan Festival at Kawana Waters, where they had the opportunity to try their hand at Japanese calligraphy and write their names, meet some iconic characters, and even dress up in kimonos!

The fun didn’t stop there! Our participants also made the most of the Sunshine Coast weather, soaking up the sun and enjoying long walks along the beach. 🌊

From cultural experiences and new adventures to sunshine, it was a weekend full of connection and memories!

This Friday, TAG 5 Night Event participants will gather to celebrate the LUMINOUS Lantern Parade by Multicultural Australia at South Bank. Community members will march through the parklands with lanterns that tell their stories, and celebrate the various cultures within Australia. This experience will be accompanied by music and dance from cultural performers!

What an incredible start to our Impact Program for Term 3! ✨

TAG 5 participants enjoyed days out in the park, playing futsal, bowling, working hard in the gym, painting, visiting Daisy Hill Koala Centre, and hanging out with friends! These activities help build confidence, social skills, and independence, all while supporting individual NDIS goals in a fun, inclusive environment! 💪🤝

We can't wait to see more big smiles this term! 👀

Week 2 School Holidays: APEX Camps Mudjimba

The cold weather didn’t slow us down, with the group embracing every moment with big smiles and even bigger adventures! Take a look at what adventures we got up to this week:

🍯Explored the Ginger Factory, discovering the creative attractions and plenty of laughs.

🌊 Our brave adventurers took on the chilly water with JetSki rides and even dipping into the water!

🏉 Finished the day cheering on our teams together at our State of Origin party, full of team spirit.
