🎸 Rock Beats Depression 2026
Brisbane metalcore powerhouse RVN//NT (pronounced Revenant) are bringing their brand of calculated chaos to the Rock Beats Depression stage.
Formed in 2024 by the Gutteridge Brothers, Connor and Damon, RVN//NT began with a vision to make a major impact on the Australian metal scene — and they have wasted no time turning that vision into reality.
Since their formation, the five-piece have been taking the South East Queensland metal scene by storm with a sound built on raw technical riffs, hard-hitting drums, powerful harsh vocals and soaring clean melodies — creating the unique RVN//NT sound.
The band burst onto the scene with their debut single “Void of Mind”, followed by a steady run of releases and live shows throughout 2024, leading into the release of their debut EP REVENANT in November 2024.
Now RVN//NT are charging forward with their debut album Calculated Chaos arriving later this year, alongside their latest single “Fit For A King” — a powerful taste of what’s to come from one of Brisbane’s rising metalcore acts.
Heavy music has always been a place for expression, release and connection. It gives people a voice, a community and a place to turn life’s struggles into something powerful.

🎸 Rock Beats Depression 2026
Emerging from the limestone hills of Ipswich/Tulmur, Australia, Northern Lights are bringing their genre-defying sound to the Rock Beats Depression stage.
Blending elements of alternative rock, grunge, punk, emo, classic rock, post-hardcore, blues and metal, Northern Lights have created a sound that refuses to be confined to one label — combining emotional honesty, massive hooks and the raw power of rock music.
For several years, Northern Lights have been blazing a trail across South East Queensland and beyond, touring the East Coast of Australia and building a reputation as a must-see live act.
Their music has reached audiences beyond the stage too, featuring in film and television — including Channel 7’s Outback Outlaw Comedian — while also earning a spot in the 4ZZZ Hot 100.
After a brief hiatus while frontman Dustin Schmidt directed the award-winning indie drama The Last of the Pretty Boys, Northern Lights returned with a renewed fire and a brand-new lineup ready to take things to the next level.
With emotionally raw lyrics, catchy hooks, anthemic singalong choruses and face-melting guitar work, Northern Lights deliver the kind of music that connects — the kind that reminds us we’re all carrying stories, struggles and moments worth sharing.
The band are currently hard at work recording their debut album, set for release in late 2026, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

We will have these little smiley ☺️ truckers caps available at RBD this year to go with our colour theme. I have sewn the smileys onto 10 hats which will be $10 on the day and 10 plain hats at $5 each so adults and kids can decorate their own.
