This stage of life can feel beautiful, overwhelming, emotional and isolating all at once, which is why having a village around mothers matters so much.

Peach Tree was created to be part of that village. A place mothers and families can turn to for connection, care, guidance and support without judgement 🤍

Over the weekend, we officially opened our doors to the Sunshine Coast community. 🍑

It was a privilege to welcome so many families, friends and supporters into our new space.

A special thank you to Fiona Simpson MP, Member for Maroochydore, for joining us to cut the ribbon and help mark the occasion.

To everyone who attended, thank you for helping make the day so special. We are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and can't wait to support Sunshine Coast families for many years to come. 💛

Our Crafternoon here at Peach Tree is your reminder that parents deserve hobbies too.

While the little ones play and socialise, parents get the chance to slow down and enjoy a different craft activity each week or finally make progress on that crochet, scrapbooking or creative project sitting at home untouched.

No pressure to be “good” at crafting.

We had such a great opening celebration for our new Townsville Parent Wellbeing Centre. I want to give a huge thank you to:

👏 Adam Baillie MP for cutting the ribbon, and to the LNP Government's recognition of how important (essential) community based perinatal mental health supports are for families

👏 Ash and Will from 'Wulgurukaba Walkabouts' for the amazing smoking ceremony which has filled our space with beautiful energy

A huge thank you to Kids on the Coast - Sunshine Coast for sharing some of the story behind Peach Tree Sunshine Coast and helping raise awareness about the importance of connection and support during pregnancy and early parenthood.

This article shares a little about why Peach Tree exists, the lived experience behind our work, and our hope that no parent on the Sunshine Coast feels like they have to navigate the hard parts of parenthood alone. Shout out to our wonderful Sunny Coast Regional Leader, Courtney.

Opening our Parent Wellbeing Centre in Maroochydore has already shown us just how many families are quietly carrying so much, and how powerful it can be to simply walk into a space where people “get it.”
