FAPW Working Group Zoom Meeting โ€“ 7 October 2026

The Friends of Asia Pacific WAGGGS (FAPW) Working Group held a productive Zoom meeting today, 7 October 2026, with a key focus on reviewing and enhancing the FAPW website, with the aim of completing the updates by the end of the year.

Led by FAPW Chair Lynne Price, discussions focused on giving the website a fresher and more modern look, updating photographs and key statisticsโ€”including membership figures and funds raised since FAPW was established in 1999โ€”and ensuring that the information presented is current, clear and engaging.

A special thank you to Rupa Gautam, Regional Manager of the WAGGGS Asia Pacific Region, for her valuable support and assistance with the FAPW website and for joining us at todayโ€™s meeting. Rupa gave the Working Group a detailed update on the progress made so far, shared the proposed format and content for the website, and guided us through the next steps as we work towards completing the updates.

The Working Group also discussed ways to improve and simplify the donation process, including making the donation information and arrangements across the three locations clearer and easier for our Friends and supporters to understand.

Other important matters were also discussed, including reviewing the FAPW membersโ€™ database and exploring ways to improve, streamline and keep the database accurate and up to date.

It was a productive meeting with valuable discussions as we continue working together to strengthen FAPW and support its future development.

A Very Productive FAPW Country Coordinators Meeting
Today, the FAPW Working Group and Country Coordinators of 21 FAPW member countries came together for a very productive and engaging meeting. It was wonderful to reconnect, share ideas, and discuss our plans for the 2026โ€“2029 triennium.
Our agenda covered a wide range of important topics, including the FAPW Strategy, action priorities, funded projects, finances, record keeping, Chapter support, promotion of FAPW, and strengthening communication and administration across our network.
We were honoured to hear inspiring words from our Founder, Dr. Juseon Byun, whose vision continues to guide and motivate our work. A special thank you also to Lynne Price, Chair of the FAPW Working Group, for leading and facilitating todayโ€™s meeting with such dedication, clarity, and enthusiasm.
Thank you to all the Country Coordinators and Working Group members for your valuable contributions, commitment, and collaborative spirit. Together, we are building a stronger future for Friends of Asia Pacific WAGGGS and supporting Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting across our region.
