It was a great pleasure for BRAQA to host the Rohingya Community Iftar Dinner on Saturday in Brisbane. The evening brought members of our community together for prayer and to break the fast. “Together in Community and Together in Faith.”
The gathering provided a meaningful opportunity to strengthen community bonds, share our traditions, and engage in spiritual reflection during this blessed month.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all the volunteers whose hard work and dedication made the Iftar Dinner a success. Jazak Allah Khair.

We are also grateful to the respected speakers and Imam for their inspiring remarks, and to the Hafiz for the beautiful recitation of the Holy Qur’an.

Finally, we would like to thank all the guests who attended and shared this special evening with us.
For Burmese Rohingya Association in Queensland Australia - BRAQA, it was truly a privilege to bring the community together for a night of prayer, tradition, and spiritual reflection. 🌙🤲

A genocide survivor who is nearly-blind, non-English-speaking Rohingya refugee from Myanmar has been found dead in upstate New York, USA after being released from federal immigration custody.

Nurul Amin Shah Alam was found dead on Tuesday, days after US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) dropped him off at a coffee shop miles from his home in Buffalo, where temperatures have been below freezing.

He resattled in USA with a hope of a new life But his life was ended tragically.

Immigration authorities say the Myanmar refugee was dropped at a "warm, safe" location, but New York officials say he was left outside a closed coffee shop.
