Hidden treasures and irresistible bargains were unearthed when residents from Immanuel Gardens Aged Care and Retirement Living in Buderim put their op-shopping skills to the test at Beautiful You Funky Op Shop.

After all that serious shopping, it was time for a coffee, a chat and a show and tell of everyone's favourite finds! 🛍️

Kay Bochmann, a resident at Orana Aged Care in Kingaroy, was all smiles when she received her new custom bingo tokens, created using their new 3D printer.
Designed especially for Kay, the tokens make it even easier to enjoy one of her favourite activities and are a great example of how small innovations can make a big difference.
We're already exploring other ways this technology can support residents, from personalised activity aids to custom-designed tools that help people continue doing what they love. 💛

Residents Garry and Darryl from Immanuel Gardens Aged Care and Retirement Living in Buderim recently joined students at a local school Eco Club working bee, helping with an incredible mural made from hundreds of recycled bottle caps.
The mural has been a labour of love that's been more than a year in the making and the pair were happy to lend a hand as the project continued to take shape.
After all that hard work, Garry and Darryl headed to the Innovation Hub, where they tried their hand at coding and put some Sphero BOLT+ robots through their paces!

Immanuel Gardens Aged Care & Retirement Living resident Richard in Buderim has turned a lifelong dream into reality.

Richard has been writing poetry since he was just six years old. Now, nearly 400 poems later, he's published his very first poetry collection, Tear Drops and Rainbows.
With the support of Chaplain David, who spent six months digitising Richard's handwritten poems and helping bring the project to life, Richard's words can now be shared with readers around the world. The book is even available to purchase on Amazon.

Inspired by life, faith and compassion, Richard hopes his poetry encourages kindness and reminds us to care for those facing hardship.

Congratulations, Richard. What an incredible achievement!

There are some new kids on the block at Wahroonga Aged Care in Biloela! 🐐

Residents have welcomed some very cute new additions, with mum goats Rose and Mary and baby Herb settling in nicely, and another little arrival due any day now.
For residents with farming backgrounds, the goats are a lovely way to reconnect with country life and familiar experiences, while bringing plenty of joy to Wahroonga.

The good news just keeps coming for South Burnett Community Services client Heath! 🎣

Since we last shared Heath's story, he's had an NDIS-funded mobility scooter approved and has been proudly telling everyone about all the fish he's been catching.
Even better, Heath says he's genuinely happy and looking forward to life, with his support worker praising the incredible effort he's put into his health and wellbeing.
What a wonderful update. Congratulations, Heath, and keep those fish coming!

The Graceville Art Festival is officially open!

We kicked off the festival at St Luke’s Lutheran Church in Nambour with an opening ceremony, morning tea and sausage sizzle, joined by Graceville staff, clients, family and friends.
A huge congratulations to all of this year’s award winners and to every artist who submitted a piece.

This year’s Feature Artist, Pixel from Tydle Waive, also joined the celebrations, bringing her creativity to life with a live painting during the opening.

There’s still time to come along and see the exhibition for yourself, with some artworks also available to purchase.

📍 St Luke's Lutheran Church Nambour
🎨 Open Sunday 16 August 9am - 12pm

Come along, explore the exhibition and support the talented artists behind the works!

Learning new skills and getting creative made for the perfect combination at Trinder Park Allied Health in Woodridge.

Clients recently took part in a Disaster Preparedness Workshop, picking up practical tips to help them prepare for floods and storms before putting their artistic talents to the test with a clay bird-making session. There were plenty of laughs and some very creative interpretations of what a bird should look like!

The workshop was so popular that all 20 places were snapped up, with another session already being planned due to the strong interest. Everyone also headed home with a disaster information pack and will be back soon to collect their clay birds after they've been fired in the kiln. 🐦

To celebrate Aged Care Employee Day, we asked residents, family members and friends to share messages for the incredible people who make our homes feel just that little bit warmer, kinder and brighter every day.

To every nurse, personal carer, lifestyle team member, chef, cleaner, laundry assistant, maintenance officer, administrator, volunteer and every other member of our aged care team – thank you.
Your compassion, patience and dedication never go unnoticed, and these messages are proof of the difference you make every single day.

Happy Aged Care Employee Day. 💙
