Please join us for our 2026 QATSIF Floral 🌺 Friday 🌸 Fundraiser.

Thank you to all the schools, donors, organisations and businesses who took part in QATSIF’s Floral 🌺 Friday 🌸 Fundraiser last year. Your support raised $11,642 which directly helped 12 First Nations students to graduate from Year 12.

This year QATSIF is supporting a record 4840 Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to complete Years 11 and 12. Across our first 17 years, we have supported 24,600 young people which is 10% of all First Nations Queenslanders.

We would like to invite schools, businesses and organisations to participate in our Floral 🌺 Friday 🌸 Fundraiser on Friday, July 10 or during your NAIDOC Week celebrations.

As well as raising money to support Queensland’s Year 11 and 12 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to graduate from secondary school, our Floral 🌺 Friday 🌸 Fundraiser also aims to raise awareness of our rich Torres Strait Islander Cultures. Each year, we share Torres Strait Islander educational resources with our 460 schools to help all students and staff learn more about our deadly Torres Strait Islander Cultures.

QATSIF thanks the deadly Brianna Robinson and Cameron Hoffmann who shared their educational journeys and health careers online with students from 10 schools today. 👏🏾

Past QATSIF student, Brianna is studying for her Bachelor of Pharmacy at UQ and is the First Nations representative for the Pharmacy Students association. She also won the Peter Doherty STEM award at school for her outstanding passion for STEM (Science, Maths, Technology and Engineering).

Cameron had worked as an AIN (Assistant in Nursing) before studying Nuclear Medicine. He is currently working with universities to provide mentorship to future students, working on a research paper, doing locums all over the state and building towards becoming a CT radiographer.

QATSIF thanks these two outstanding First Nations leaders for sharing their time and experience to inspire our next generation of health professionals.

We will share the recording of today's Q&A session with schools who were unable to attend along with our 35 previous online career recordings. All 460 QATSIF schools and Queensland's P-10 and 7-10 schools were invited to join our online careers Q&A.

Congratulations to the deadly Kala Auda, QATSIF student from Bowen State High School and rugby 7s player excelling in her healthcare journey. 👏🏾

Bowen SHS's school nurse Caz Cole caught up with Kala and she absolutely thrilled to share the outstanding progress Kala is making.

Her school has said, "Currently completing her Certificate III in Health Services through a school-based traineeship at the Bowen Hospital, Kala is truly shining as she finishes Grade 12.

As a proud First Nations young woman, Kala embodies the powerful truth that “you can’t be what you can’t see.” She is a positive role model for our entire school community, proving that passion and dedication pave the way for a bright future."
