🌱 At 57, Daniel is tending his veggie garden, collecting eggs from his chicken coop, and living life entirely on his own terms - and we love to see it! 💚

Living with a cognitive health condition means some days look a little different. But with Co.As.It.'s Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS) services in his corner, Daniel has the practical support he needs to keep doing what he loves most.

"Having the right support hasn't taken anything away from that. If anything, it's helped me hold onto it for as long as possible." 🐓🥕

🇪🇸 ¡Feliz Día de la Fiesta Nacional, España! 🎉

Today Spain celebrates its National Day - commemorating Christopher Columbus's historic arrival in the Americas in 1492, an expedition made possible by the Spanish Crown. It is a day of great pride in Spanish heritage, history and culture. 🌟

We celebrate with all of our community members who are connected to Spain - whether by birth, heritage or heart. 💛

From all of us at Co.As.It., ¡Viva España! 🥁🌹

💛 This week is National Carers Week - and we want to take a moment to say a very heartfelt thank you. 🌟

Across Australia, there are millions of unpaid carers who give their time, love and energy to support a family member or friend - often quietly, without recognition, and without pause. Their dedication is extraordinary. 🙏

We also want to celebrate our incredible Co.As.It. care staff and volunteers, who show up every day with warmth, skill and compassion to support the people in our community. You make a difference that truly cannot be measured. 🌿

To every carer - paid and unpaid - this week is for you. 💐

🇨🇺 ¡Feliz Día de la Independencia, Cuba! 🎉

Today marks the anniversary of the beginning of Cuba's War of Independence from Spain in 1868 - a day of great historical pride and cultural significance for the Cuban people. 🌟

We celebrate with all of our clients and community members who are connected to Cuba - whether by birth, heritage or heart. 💛

From all of us at Co.As.It., we wish you and your loved ones a joyful celebration. 🎊

💚 Today is World Mental Health Day 🌿

This year's theme - Together We Thrive - is a beautiful reminder that connection is one of the most powerful things we can do for our mental health. When life feels overwhelming, the small everyday moments of kindness, conversation and care truly make a difference. 💛

Here are a few simple tips for looking after your mental wellbeing:
🤝 Stay connected - reach out to a friend, neighbour or family member regularly
🚶 Get moving - even a gentle daily walk can lift your mood
😴 Rest well - good sleep is essential for mental wellbeing
🌸 Be kind to yourself - it is okay to take things one day at a time
💬 Talk about it - sharing how you feel with someone you trust can make a world of difference

At Co.As.It., we offer Community and Individual Support Services (CISS), that link people with formal and informal supports – creating social connections and inclusion. 🌟
