You haven't managed to get to Wynnum to visit Scattered Arts yet? They have a second option all this week at Mt Coot-Tha Botanic Gardens. Just like their shop, you will have a chance to meet artists and artisans. It's a great day out in the gardens too with early signs of spring. Not to be missed! 🎨🧶

Have you visited this exhibition yet? It's more than a show of artworks, there are demonstrations by some of the best pastel artists in Australia. Time your visit to coincide with the demonstration by an artist who you are familiar with or with an artist you would like to know more about. While there are many things that you can do on the island, we think you will be spending quite some time in the gallery and their cafe. 🎨

Today, we're thrilled to highlight one of our talented member groups: The Creative Glass Guild of Queensland!
Founded in 1979, the Creative Glass Guild of Queensland is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to teaching traditional and contemporary glass art techniques. Operating in the tradition of medieval craft guilds, they maintain high standards for training quality and the integrity of their goods and services.

Courses & Workshops: Learn Beadmaking, Fusing and Slumping, Contemporary and Traditional Glass Painting & Decorating, Leadlight & Copperfoiling, Mosaics, and Sand Engraving. Whether you're a beginner or looking to advance your skills, there's something for everyone.
Hands-On Learning: Classes are hands-on, allowing you to learn as you create unique handmade glass pieces. No prior experience is necessary for beginner courses and workshops.

This is a must see. One of our member groups is running a competition and exhibition. It starts next week and is open for two weekends on Bribie Island, in a fabulous community gallery. And it's only a short day trip from Brisbane.
