Congratulations to Forex Toastmasters member Charmaine Thomson for successfully competing in Saturday's Brisbane Division Speech Contest's Evaluation Speech Contest!

Reaching this level represents a massive achievement - congrats to Charmaine for representing Forex on this stage! Although not a winner this time we congratulate Charmaine on her excellent effort which according to many observers was worthy of a place...

Congrats also too to Adi Strickland and our adopted member Sonny for also competing, both putting in strong performances, and to Graham Cairns for his efforts as one of the contest chairs!

Finally a wee mention to longstanding Forex member Anthony Fensom who was awarded a wee medal for 15 years in Toastmasters - congrats Anthony, time sure flies!

A big thanks to our contestants Anthony Fensom, Charmaine Thomson & Lalith Dissanayake who competed in our Table Topics Contest at our September 12 meeting!

Table Topics is a longstanding Toastmasters tradition intended to help members develop their ability to organise their thoughts quickly and respond to an impromptu question or topic.

Our topic was "The Next Step" and all three contestants did a fantastic job answering this within the 1-2 minutes of allocated time.

Congrats to Anthony for winning the contest (Charmaine 2nd, Lalith 3rd) and a big thanks to our patient audience along with the judges and our contest chair Helen Larter!
