The Zillmere State School Parents & Citizens Association (P&C) will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on:

🗓 Friday, 21 March 2025
⏰ 12:00 PM
📍 Community Meeting Room

All staff, parents, and members of the Zillmere State School community are invited to attend! This is a great opportunity to learn more about how the P&C supports the school, staff, and students by providing funding for enhanced services, resources, and facility improvements.
At the AGM, we will:

✅ Call for 2025 membership
✅ Present the P&C President’s Report
✅ Adopt the Constitution (if updated)
✅ Endorse the 2025 Auditor’s Report
✅ Endorse the 2025 Student Protection Risk Management Strategy
✅ Adopt the 2025 P&C Budget
✅ Nominate and elect the 2025 Executive Committee
Positions Open for Nomination:

🔹 President
🔹 Vice President
🔹 Treasurer
🔹 Secretary

📌 Additional roles may be discussed and appointed at the AGM, including:
🔸 Grants Officer
🔸 Fundraising/Events Coordinator
🔸 Sponsorship/Community Engagement Officer

If you’re interested in nominating for an Executive Committee position, nomination forms are available from the school office. Please return completed forms to the office or email them to [email protected] by 3 PM, Monday 17 March 2025.

There is no obligation to join the P&C if you attend the AGM—feel free to come along and see how the P&C operates!

Exciting News from the P&C! 🎉

Thanks to the fundraising efforts of our amazing school community, the P&C is proud to be funding some fantastic initiatives for our students! Here’s what’s coming up:

✅ More uniform flexibility! Families can now purchase bottle green shorts and broad-brimmed hats from a store of their choice. These items will still be available at the uniform shop for those who prefer to buy them through the school. 👕🎩
✅ Swimming coaches funded! Our fundraising is helping provide expert coaching so our students can build confidence in the water. 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️
✅ New soccer kits! Thanks to P&C support, our soccer-loving students will have proper team uniforms to wear at inter-school sports. ⚽💚
✅ Support for school camps! Fundraising efforts mean we can help make the Years 3/4 and 5/6 camps a fantastic experience for all students. ⛺🎒

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our school community—whether you’ve volunteered at an event, bought from a fundraiser, or attended a meeting, you’ve helped make a difference!

🎉 Welcome to 2025 from the Zillmere State School P&C! 🎉

We hope everyone had a fantastic holiday break and is ready for an exciting year ahead! Tomorrow marks the first day of school for 2025, and we can’t wait to see all the smiling faces back on deck.

💡 A few key updates to kick off the year:
👕 Uniform Shop: The uniform shop is now run from the school office (no longer by the P & C). If you’re still in need of any uniform items, pop in and check out the new shirts – they look amazing!

📅 Upcoming P&C Meetings:
• Our first meeting will be held mid-February (date TBC).
• The AGM will follow on Harmony Day (exact time and date TBC)

This year, we’ll need a new P&C executive, so it’s the perfect opportunity to get involved!

Why join the P&C?
• Make a difference: Help support the school, students, and wider community.
• Meet new people: Connect with other parents and carers.

🎉 End of Year Thank You from the Zillmere State School P&C Executive 🎉

As 2024 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank our incredible school community for your ongoing support and generosity throughout the year.

Together, we’ve achieved so much! This year, we’ve:
✅ Purchased marquees to support our students and events.
✅ Supported school camps, creating lasting memories for our kids.
✅ Donated to the hardship fund, ensuring no child is left behind.

These achievements wouldn’t have been possible without your help—whether you volunteered your time, attended events, or simply cheered us on.

We’re already looking forward to making 2025 another fantastic year! If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, we’d love for you to join us next year. Let’s continue working together to make Zillmere State School the best it can be for our students.

🌭 Thank You, Zillmere Community! 🌭

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Bunnings sausage sizzle today! With your amazing efforts and generosity, we raised $2000 for the Zillmere State School Hardship Fund.

A special shout-out to Aspley Leagues Club for their incredible donation of $1000, which helped us purchase sausages, bread, and drinks, and to T-Bones Fresh Food Market for kindly donating 25kg of onions. Your contributions made a huge difference and ensured the event’s success.

We are so grateful to be part of such a wonderful and supportive community. Every sausage purchased and every kind gesture brings us closer to helping those in need within our school.

Thank you again for your support—you’re all amazing!
