Future Farmers Network FFN is Australia’s only national youth organisation supporting young people (18-35) working in agriculture and agribusiness.

FFN is the proud organiser of the Young Beef Producers' Forum (YBPF). The ultimate eduational, capacity building and networking event for the young people in the beef industry.

🐮🎉 **Meet our 2026 Tim Emery Bursary recipient – Lila-Rose Watson!**

A big congratulations to Lila-Rose, a young agricultural contractor from Tambo, Queensland, who has been selected to receive support to attend the **sold-out Young Beef Producers' Forum in Roma this November!**

Growing up on her family's beef cattle property and Brahman stud, Lila-Rose developed a love for the beef industry early on. Today, she's forging her own path as a sole trader, mustering, fencing, weaner breaking and working with cattle across local properties.

💬 “This support means a lot to me, and I'm excited to see where it takes me.”

We received an impressive calibre of applications this year, and we're delighted to support Lila-Rose as she continues building her skills, knowledge and networks.

Help us shape the future of Australian agriculture 🌱

FFN Director Jacob Heard shares why he joined the Future Farmers Network Board. Based in Victoria, Jacob works in crop protection and pollination and brings his experience to a national Board representing a wide range of agricultural sectors and regions.

We’re now inviting applications for volunteer Non-Executive Director positions. If you’re aged 18–40, passionate about agriculture and ready to contribute to an active Board, we’d love to hear from you.

FFN Board Director nominations are now open!

We’re looking for people who care about the future of Australian agriculture and want to help connect, support and empower young people across the sector. The volunteer Director role is active, with an estimated commitment of 1–8 hours per week.

🐮 Applications are OPEN for the 2026 Tim Emery Bursary!

Want to attend the Young Beef Producers’ Forum in Roma this November? This event is SOLD OUT - and could be your opportunity!

The Tim Emery Bursary supports one FFN Member to attend YBPF, with assistance towards registration, travel and accommodation.

Last year’s inaugural recipient, Zoe Sibley, says the experience gave her the opportunity to build new connections, hear different perspectives from across the beef industry and feel part of the conversations shaping agriculture’s future.

💬 “Through these conversations I gained a greater feeling of community and a sense that I’m part of important discussions that enable agriculture to progress.”

Now, we’re looking for our 2026 recipient!
