The Gap Netball Club The Gap Netball Club is committed to promoting netball as a sport for everyone 💜

Netball is the most popular team sport in Australia and The Gap Netball Club is the biggest in Queensland. The Gap has teams for all abilities and ages from 8s to Opens playing in the Downey Park Netball Association (DPNA) winter season and also in the Queensland Catholic Netball Association (QCNA) summer seasons. The Club also runs the Suncorp NetsetGO introductory netball program at Hilder Road

State School at The Gap for 5s to 7s on Monday afternoons during Term 1, and for 5s to 10s during Term 4. Teams train on weekday afternoons and evenings at Hilder Road State School at The Gap and play at Downey Park at Windsor on Saturdays from March to August. The Club's Sign-On Day is held on the first Saturday after school starts each year and competitive teams (11s and above) are graded during the weeks after Sign-On Day, and NetSetGO 8-10s teams are allocated socially.

🌟 VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH – MAY 🌟

We are thrilled to announce Glen Sanderson as The Gap Netball Club’s Volunteer of the Month for May!

Glen has been a dedicated member of TGNC for more than 10 years, and in that time, he has worn just about every hat imaginable. This season alone, Glen has taken on the role of Coach Convenor, stepped in as Equipment Manager, and is coaching three teams including putting his hand up to take on an U13 team when no one else could.

Glen is passionate about netball and is always willing to support, guide and educate both coaches and players. His fun, positive and energetic approach to training lifts every team he works with, and his commitment to our club is second to none.

Quite simply, Glen is an absolute asset to TGNC… we honestly can’t imagine the club without him.

We had a very special guest at training yesterday!

Queensland Firebirds superstar Imogen Alison surprised our very own Coach Holly with tickets to the Lightning vs Firebirds game in recognition of her extraordinary contribution to netball, in line with Volunteer Week and QLD Day 🏐✨

Holly’s passion, dedication and commitment to our players and club never goes unnoticed, and we couldn’t think of a more deserving recipient.

A huge thank you to Imogen and Netball Queensland for organising such a thoughtful surprise and for going the extra mile to recognise the incredible coaches and volunteers who give so much to our game 💜💛
