📚 A Beginner’s Guide to Bookfest
First time? We’ve got you. Here’s 5 things you need to know before you go:
1. Bring your own book-carrying device đź›’
A beach wagon, market trolley, suitcase or even a pram (child optional).
We do have some trolleys on hand, but they’re popular – so be a pro and BYO. Books get HEAVY, so anything that rolls is a wheelie good idea.
2. Wear comfy shoes 👟
With 4km of books and more to explore, your feet will thank you later.
3. Know the lay of the land 🗺️
Three sections – $2.50 Hall, High-Quality and ComicFest.
Three entrances.
Pay in each before moving on.
Map drops the week of the event – plan your route 📍
4. Take your time ⌚️
The more you look, the more you find. Set aside a few hours and settle in for the hunt – it’s bigger than you think.
Stock is refreshed throughout the event, so there’s always more to come back for.
5. Be kind to our volunteers đź’›
Bookfest is powered by hundreds of generous volunteers who are there to help you find your next great read. A smile and a little patience go a long way.
Bonus tip: hydrate while you hunt. It’s easy to lose track of time (and water intake).
