✨ September Highlight ✨

SKÅL Connect – What a fantastic afternoon! 🥂

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for SKÅL Connect at Above Rooftop & Bar, Ovolo Brisbane.

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, welcome new guests and bring together people from across Brisbane’s tourism and hospitality community.

The afternoon was exactly what SKÅL is about — connection, conversation, new relationships and doing business among friends.

A special thank you to Ovolo Brisbane for hosting us and providing such a fantastic setting for the afternoon, and to everyone who brought along a guest and helped us introduce new faces to the SKÅL community.

We loved seeing the room buzzing with conversation and new connections. Thank you for making the afternoon such a success!

Here’s to growing our network and continuing to connect Brisbane’s tourism and hospitality community. 🥂

✨ September Highlight ✨

One of my September highlights was attending the Skål National Assembly in Hobart.

With the outstanding hospitality our Tasmanian friends are known for, Skålleagues and guests were warmly welcomed to the beautiful Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) for a fabulous cocktail reception.

Fresh local oysters, Tasmanian gin and w**e, friendly faces from near and far and a professional burlesque performance to top off the evening!

A wonderful night celebrating friendship, connection and hospitality. 🥂

🌱 THE GREAT SPRING CLEAN – SUNDAY 20 SEPTEMBER

Skål clubs across Australia are getting involved in The Great Spring Clean, supporting International Coastal Clean-Up Day on Sunday 20 September.

While Skål Brisbane won’t be hosting an official clean-up event this year, we’d love to see our Brisbane members get involved!

You can join individually, grab some fellow Skålleagues, or put together your own team and choose a local beach, riverbank, park, trail or community area that could use a little TLC.

Registration is easy, and participants will receive gloves, bags and plenty of support to help get started.

🎥 Watch the short “How to Register” video below to find out how you can participate.
www.cleanup.org.au/faq-s/

And don’t forget to take plenty of photos! We’d love to see what our Brisbane members get up to and share your contribution with the wider Skål community.

It’s also a great opportunity for Brisbane to get involved ahead of what we hope will be an even bigger Great Spring Clean in 2027.
Small actions. Big impact. Skål Brisbane getting behind a cleaner, more sustainable community. 🌏

Through the help of PepsiCo, we have created six how-to videos to assist you with each step of planning your own Clean Up event.

What an incredible way to open SKÅL Australia’s National Assembly in Hobart! 🇦🇺✨

The Welcome Reception at the Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery was nothing short of epic — an incredible venue, outstanding entertainment and, of course, an impressive gathering of tourism and hospitality industry leaders from across Australia.

Tasmanian produce took centre stage, with local flavours, ingredients and culinary talent showcased beautifully. Every bite was a delicious reminder of the quality and diversity Tasmania has to offer. 🍷🦪🧀

A fantastic first night of connection, collaboration and celebration and a very enticing introduction to what Hobart and Tasmania have in store for us over the weekend.

A huge congratulations to the SKÅL Hobart team and everyone involved in creating such a memorable opening event.

What a way to showcase Hobart. What a way to start the Assembly! 🥂
