The Queensland Soni Samaj logo is more than a symbol - it reflects who we are, where we have come from. It honours the rich heritage of the Soni community while embracing a future built on unity, opportunity and service for generations to come.

The elegant “S” proudly represents Soni Samaj, while also symbolising strength, service and solidarity. Its flowing design reflects the continuous journey of our community.

The Queensland silhouette proudly acknowledges the land we now call home. It represents our commitment to building a vibrant and united Soni community.

At the heart of Queensland is the Aum (ॐ), one of the most sacred symbols in Hindu philosophy. Aum represents the universal sound of creation, peace, wisdom and spiritual unity. It reminds us that while we embrace progress, our values remain deeply rooted in faith, culture and respect for our ancestors.

A Message from Your New President

JSK Queensland Soni Samaj members,

Thank you to everyone who attended on Sunday - your presence and support meant a great deal. For those who couldn't join us, I wanted to share the address I gave as I took on the role of President of Soni Samaj.

It is a true honour to serve as your new President. Thank you for the trust you have placed in me - I promise to serve this Samaj with dedication, humility, and heart.

First, let me introduce the team working alongside me this term. Sonal Lodhia will serve as Vice President. Krishen Lodhia takes on the role of Treasurer, keeping a careful eye on our finances. Nitika Krishen Lodhia will be serving as our Secretary. And joining us as a committee member is Dhru Lodhia, who brings fresh energy and ideas to the table. Together, we are committed to serving you and building on everything this Samaj stands for.

I also want to recognise two people who have given so much of themselves to this community. Anand Raniga and Bharat Patel - on behalf of everyone here, thank you. Your work during your time serving the samaj has not gone unnoticed. You laid a strong foundation, and we are grateful for your leadership, patience, and commitment.

Here's where we are headed. Our team has already begun planning a calendar of events designed to bring our samaj closer together:
● A cultural event to celebrate our traditions and heritage
● A sporting event for some friendly competition and community spirit
● A trip to the Hare Krishna Mandir, so we can come together in faith and reflection as one community.

We also know the future of our samaj depends on our younger generation. That's why we are launching "Young Soni's", a dedicated space for our youth to connect, build friendships, and stay engaged with our community as they grow. This is an investment in the years ahead, and one I am especially excited about.

None of this happens without support, so we will be actively seeking sponsorships to help fund these events and initiatives. We will also make it a priority to keep everyone regularly updated on what's happening in the samaj, so no one feels out of the loop.

One more thing to share: in the coming weeks, you'll see a brand refresh for our Samaj - a new look that reflects who we are today and where we are going.
This samaj belongs to all of us, and we want to hear from you. If you have ideas or suggestions for events, please call or email us. Your voice matters - this is your community as much as it is mine.

As we begin this new chapter together, here's the spirit that will guide us forward:

That is our promise to you, and we ask for your support, energy, and involvement as we build a stronger, closer, more vibrant Soni Samaj - together.

Today, members of the Queensland Soni Samaj came together for our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM).

At the AGM, members reflected on the journey of the Samaj over recent years, reviewed the Association's affairs and welcomed the incoming Committee for 2026/27.

Importantly, QSSI continues to be in a strong financial position, providing a solid foundation for the incoming Committee to build upon and continue serving our community.

We congratulate the incoming Committee and thank all current and past Committee members, Patrons, Trustees, volunteers, sponsors and supporters for their contribution to the Samaj over the years.

The attached President's Report reflects on the past five years and the collective efforts that have helped shape QSSI's journey since 2021.
