OzHarvest Queensland

OzHarvest Queensland OzHarvest Queensland rescues quality excess food and delivers it to charities helping to feed people experiencing food insecurity.

As a philanthropically funded, charitable organisation, every $1 donated to OzHarvest allows us to deliver two meals. OzHarvest rescues surplus food from the food industry and redistributes this good food to charitable organisations who feed people in need. Not only helping our community but also our environment.

Since 2016, the Queensland Parliamentary Service has proudly partnered with OzHarvest to reduce food waste and support people in need.
By donating surplus food from Parliament House, we're helping turn excess into nourishing meals for vulnerable members of our community.

A big thank you to Queensland Gives for a $20,000 grant that enabled us to purchase a walkie stacker for the Sunshine Coast warehouse! The walkie stacker will allow our staff and volunteers to safely store and move greater volumes of rescued food, increasing our efficiency and capacity at our K***a Park warehouse. 💛

Meet Joe Tucker from Urban Angels who calls into OzHarvest’s Sunshine Coast warehouse at K***a Park every Monday to collect crates of fresh food collected by our volunteers from Fishermans Road Markets and Noosa Farmers Market every Sunday. Joe has been working for Urban Angels for 5 years and loves it! He has also volunteered for Nambour Apex for the past 26 years. In addition to the Monday collection, the OzHarvest Queensland drivers and vollies deliver to Urban Angels throughout the week, playing a vital role in enabling Urban Angels to deliver up to 15,000 meals across the Sunshine Coast every month. Thank you, Urban Angels for all that you do to nourish those who are going through a difficult time.
