Today I had a realisation…we’ve just reached the end of week one of our term programs, and for the FIRST time, I am sitting and holding space in our studio without the weight of trying to conceive and IVF quietly sitting in the background.
A weight that I carried mostly privately for years, and did my best to put aside when I walked through our studio doors.
And I couldn’t be happier. 💛
Don’t get me wrong, I am heartbroken that after years of trying and multiple rounds of IVF, we haven’t had the outcome my husband and I so desperately wanted.
But alongside that heartbreak is an overwhelming sense of relief that the pressure, and constantly navigating the uncertainty and emotional weight of trying to fall pregnant has finally come to an end.
I know there will always be tender moments that catch my breath.
But I honestly feel the shift that I can finally breathe again. And that feels so god damn good.
I’ve noticed already this week how much lighter I feel in my sessions. How much more present I feel.
And how grateful I am for every family and child who walks through our doors.
To be able to play even a small part in their world is something I don’t take for granted.
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. 🩷
