The vision of the Healthy Kids Project is to positively impact the health of 1 million Australian children over 10 years in the lead up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic & Paralympic Games. Our mission is to reduce the incidence of sedentary lifestyle diseases and enhance mental health and emotional wellbeing in children. We will achieve this by developing programs and collaborations that positively im

Too many children are disengaging from sport and movement — not because they don’t want to be active, but because the pressure placed on them by adults can take the joy out of it.

At Healthy Kids Project, we believe movement should support children’s physical health, mental wellbeing and sense of belonging — not become another source of stress or anxiety.

As families head into a new year of sport and activity, it’s a good moment to reflect on why kids move in the first place:
