Queensland Council for LGBTI Health - QC QC promotes the health and well-being of le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, Sistergirl and Brotherboy Queenslanders.

The Queensland Council for LGBTI Health (QC) has been a home for Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Q***r, Sistergirl and Brotherboy people and communities in Queensland for over 40 years. It is a not-for-profit, community based organisation, funded by government grants and community fundraising, donations and sponsorships. 🌈💗🤍💜🖤 Genderfluid Visibility Week | 17–24 October 2026 🖤💜🤍💗🌈

This week, we recognise and celebrate Genderfluid Visibility Week, an opportunity to raise awareness, increase understanding and celebrate genderfluid people and communities.

Genderfluid people may experience their gender differently over time, and Genderfluid Visibility Week provides an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the diversity of gender experiences within our LGBTIQA+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy communities.

Visibility plays an important role in creating communities where people feel recognised, respected and supported. By learning more about different gender identities and experiences, we help build safer, more inclusive and affirming spaces for everyone.

💜 This week, we celebrate the strength, diversity and contributions of genderfluid people across Queensland and beyond.

Together, we can continue creating communities where people are free to express themselves authentically and be welcomed for who they are.

We continue to see new mpox cases in southeast Queensland. Be aware, know the signs and get vaccinated 💉
Mpox can cause symptoms including a rash or lesions, fever, swollen lymph nodes, headache, muscle aches and tiredness.
If you develop symptoms, avoid sexual contact with others and get tested as soon as possible.
Vaccination is the best way to protect yourself. There are 2 vaccinations needed for the best protection. If you haven’t started or completed your vaccination course, vaccination is recommended.

This Brisbane Pride-funded event, hosted by QTrans, brings together q***r people from multicultural and culturally diverse backgrounds through creativity, storytelling, food, performance and community connection.

Whether you're creating a crystal tree, joining a craft workshop, supporting q***r refugees and people seeking asylum through art, or simply sharing food and conversation, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect and celebrate together.

International Le***an Day is an opportunity to celebrate and honour Le***an communities, and all women and gender-diverse people who are same-sex or same-gender attracted across our LGBTIQA+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy communities.

Today recognises the history, culture, visibility and contributions of Le***an people, while celebrating the diversity, strength and resilience that continue to enrich our communities.

💜 We acknowledge the generations of Le***an people and advocates who have contributed to creating safer, more inclusive communities and opportunities for connection, representation and belonging.

As we celebrate today, we also recognise the importance of visibility, community care and continuing to build spaces where everyone can live authentically, safely and proudly.
