Inala Bushcare Inala Bushcare connects local people with Kev. Hooper Park, an important natural area in Inala (SW Brisbane). Kev.

Hooper Park is located in Inala in South West Brisbane. The park is an important part of the local community and is home to many species of birds, mammals and amphibians. The main bushcare site is along the creek banks at the western end of the park (near Rosemary Street / Serviceton Avenue). Kev Hooper Park Bushcare Group was founded in 2009 by a group of local people who wanted to improve the local environment and biodiversity in Inala. It was supported by Brisbane’s Habitat Brisbane program until the team leader retired in 2023. Habitat Brisbane is looking for a volunteer to take over the group, please contact them directly if interested. Inala Bushcare very much appreciates all the volunteers who have helped to create this fantastic area of high habitat value bushland.

We retired from managing the Inala Bushcare site at Kev Hooper Park some years ago now. Today we revisited to see how it was progressing. Hopefully Habitat Brisbane will find somebody to continue the work. Whatever happens in the future we are very proud of our 15 years of work on the site and are pleased to see it maturing. Our thanks to all the many individuals and community groups that assisted with the work. Special mention to Richlands - Forest Lake Scout Group who completed a planting 11 years in a row from memory. All participants can be very proud of their contribution.
