The Queensland Off-The-Track Program has been established to support retired racehorses. Welcome to the Queensland Off-The-Track Program page.

We know our Facebook fans are passionate about retired racehorses and we encourage everyone to participate and comment. We expect our QOTT community to post respectfully and responsibly as we want everyone to have a positive experience. Please keep it friendly so that everyone feels safe and comfortable to contribute. Posts will be removed from our page if they are considered:

• Foul, defamator

y, libellous, discriminatory or threatening;

• To bully, harass or intimidate;

• Disrespectful, provocative, abusive, obscene or hateful;

• Infringe or violate someone else’s rights;

• Legally contentious in any way;

• Contain any links or images of an offensive nature;

• Posts that are irrelevant, misleading or damaging to QOTT or other organisations;

• Soliciting or advertising commercial or personal interests outside QOTT;

• Multiple posts from a single-user, or off-topic posts where the subject is not connected to QOTT; and/or

• Posts that are anonymous, repetitive, disruptive or include personal attacks, trolling or depict unsafe practices. In addition to having their post/s deleted, anyone who breaches the above expected conduct may be blocked from further participation in or on QOTT social media platforms. 'Gulf Of Tomini' enjoyed 😃 his very first outing with QOTT Acknowledged Retrainer Charlie Manfield from Manny Park Equine - starting with a fun trip to jump club and finishing with a walk on the beach! 🌊🐎

Before his last race in December 2025, this handsome 7-year-old chestnut 🧡 gelding had 51 starts, including 6 wins 🥇, 8 seconds 🥈 and 7 thirds 🥉, earning $195,190 in prizemoney. Now retired from the racetrack, he’s taken everything in his stride and looks right at home in his new adventures 💫🥰

The QOTT Leaderboards 📈 recognise and reward OTT Thoroughbred and Standardbred horses separately that accumulate the highest points in each discipline between 1 November 2025 and 1 November 2026 🏅

📅 Round 2 results (2 March 2026 – 31 May 2026) must be submitted to Equestrian Queensland by Sunday, 21 June 2026.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: In 2026, all results across all disciplines must be self-submitted to be included in the QOTT Leaderboards.

💰 With a total of $7,000 in prizemoney on offer across the 14 QOTT Leaderboard awards, including $500 cash, a QOTT-branded horse rug and a trophy for each champion, you won't want to miss out! 🏆🎉

Melissa’s gorgeous gelding 'Youwishjellyfish' 🪼 (or Ralph to his mates) has been her pride and joy since 2021 🐎💚

This beautiful 17hh bay gelding from Zelt and by Shocking is now rising 10 years old and loving every moment of pony club, dressage, working equitation and trail riding 🌿☀️

Calm, honest and endlessly lovable, he spends his days with his standardbred 🐴 buddy, proving just how sweet OTT life ✨ can be.

Melissa says she’s lucky to own him… and it sure looks like he feels the same 🥰

Cassie thought she was bringing home a new jumping horse… but Clooney had other ideas and immediately decided he belonged to her 16‑month‑old instead 😂👶

🐴 Prometio Mas (aka Clooney), a 7-year-old grey gelding who last raced at Ipswich in January, has glued himself to his tiny human from day one 🤍

He’s taken to jumping like a duck to water 🦆💦 and even picked up 4th place 🏅 in the 60cm class at his very first show 🌟

From racing 🏇 earlier in the year to toddler‑approved superstar, Clooney is loving life off the track 🥰

🐎 Save a Horse Australia (SAHA) is Australia's largest equine charity and their purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome vulnerable and/or neglected horses of all breeds, shapes and sizes 💕🐴

From providing horses with a safe place to land, to stepping in when horses need urgent care, SAHA provides our equine friends with the love and second chance they deserve in their time of need 🌿✨

That’s why the QOTT Program is proud to partner 🤝 with SAHA. Established three years ago, the partnership provides a formal safety net for retired racehorses in Queensland by providing funding towards their care 💖

As SAHA President and former jockey Laura Cheshire explained, QOTT's support has strengthened SAHA’s ability to carefully assess each horse, provide them with any necessary retraining, and place them into suitable, long-term homes 🏡

As a registered not-for-profit charity, SAHA relies on donations 💰 and fundraising 🎫 to support their incredible work.
