The Queensland Off-The-Track Program has been established to support retired racehorses. Welcome to the Queensland Off-The-Track Program page.

We know our Facebook fans are passionate about retired racehorses and we encourage everyone to participate and comment. We expect our QOTT community to post respectfully and responsibly as we want everyone to have a positive experience. Please keep it friendly so that everyone feels safe and comfortable to contribute. Posts will be removed from our page if they are considered:

• Foul, defamatory, libellous, discriminatory or threatening;

• To bully, harass or intimidate;

• Disrespectful, provocative, abusive, obscene or hateful;

• Infringe or violate someone else’s rights;

• Legally contentious in any way;

• Contain any links or images of an offensive nature;

• Posts that are irrelevant, misleading or damaging to QOTT or other organisations;

• Soliciting or advertising commercial or personal interests outside QOTT;

• Multiple posts from a single-user, or off-topic posts where the subject is not connected to QOTT; and/or

• Posts that are anonymous, repetitive, disruptive or include personal attacks, trolling or depict unsafe practices. In addition to having their post/s deleted, anyone who breaches the above expected conduct may be blocked from further participation in or on QOTT social media platforms. 👀 Look at these OTT stars! 🥰 Strutting their stuff at the QOTT-sponsored Whitsunday Equestrian Group event back in August 🐴✨

How stunning are they?! 😍 All under the age of 12, these talented horses already have prizemoney and placings to their names from their racing careers 🏇💰 - and now, not too far into their second careers, they're showing just how versatile they are! 🏆

From beautiful dressage 🐎 tests to impressive hacking results, these OTT stars are making their mark and showing plenty of promise for the future 🎀🌟

What an achievement! 👏 It’s wonderful to see these talented OTT horses thriving in their new careers and proving that there’s so much more to come after racing ❤️

👏 Congratulations to Anna and her beautiful Standardbred mare, Winter Rose 🌹 (aka Rosie) on competing in their very first Dressage competition at the Lockyer Equestrian Group Inc. (LEGS) Members Day! 🐴🩷

This gorgeous 7-year-old mare had 37 race starts, including 1 🥇 win, 3 🥈 seconds and 4 🥉 thirds on the track - and now she’s enjoying a whole new chapter with Anna by her side 😀

Through the QOTT Subsidised Lessons Program, Anna and Rosie have been developing together as a partnership, building confidence, dressage skills and trust along the way 🤗

QOTT Approved Coach Tarni McCormack is incredibly proud of how far this duo has come, while Anna simply can’t speak highly enough of the program and the difference it has made to both her and Rosie ❤️

What a wonderful achievement for this special horse and rider partnership! 🥰

Here’s to many more dressage adventures for Anna and Rosie! 🌹🐴✨

We recently received a beautiful update about an OTT horse called Tommy (yes, his paddock name and race name!) 🏇💛

Tommy isn’t just an OTT - he's a special link to Ali’s family 🫶

The bay gelding was bred in New Zealand by Ali’s cousins, Bill and Jane Ewen. Bill, a much-loved equine vet 🩺🐎, supported Ali for many years after her own dad (also a vet) sadly passed away.

Bill absolutely adored 🥰 Tommy, sent Ali weekly trainer reports 📱🐴, and always hoped Tommy would one day retire to her paddock 🌿🏡

When Bill passed suddenly in March 2025, that wish became a reality - making Tommy’s arrival even more meaningful ❤️‍🩹

Since arriving with Ali in August 2025, Tommy has settled in like a true gentleman. He’s bold out on the trails 🌳, brave in the arena 🚀, and happily shared between Ali and her daughter, Maeve. He’s already been ticking off showjumping days and competitions, and was recently set to tackle his first ODE in Toowoomba. Go Tommy! 🎉👏

A huge thank you to MyRacehorseAU and the Ewen family for supporting Tommy’s retraining, and to Racing Victoria's Off The Track Acknowledged Retrainer Lou Abey from Abey Performance Horses for setting him up so well for his life post-racing 🙌

We love ❤️ when our QOTT Acknowledged Retrainers keep us updated, and this one from Sandi Sevior from Flynn Equine Solutions is too good not to share! 🐴✨

Meet Zhuang Shi (aka Zorro), one of Sandi’s graduates 🎓 who found his person 🫶 in Jessica earlier this year.

Jess agists Zorro on Sandi’s spelling 🌄 farm, works alongside her, and continues his education 📚 with thoughtful, consistent care, along with regular lessons with QOTT Approved Coach Brett Cantle 🙌

Recently, Jess and Zorro headed to the QOTT‑sponsored Maroochy Pony Club Inc Showjumping at Nambour Showgrounds… and came home as Off-The-Track Champion in the 70cm, 16-25yrs age group! 🏆🎉

And the best part? It was only their third official show together! 👏

Zorro is proving himself to be a reliable and genuinely keen learner, which is a credit to Jess’s dedication and the wonderful foundations Sandi has given him 💫🐎

Huge congratulations to Jess and Zorro - what a team! ❤️

We’ve featured this duo before, and we love ❤️ being kept up to date with their adventures! 🐴✨

Amity and OTT superstar Brave Bow (aka Cricket 🦗) headed up to Cannon Valley for the Whitsunday Equestrian Group's two‑day Showjumping Classic, proudly supported by QOTT 🙌💰

And they delivered in style, taking home 🏠 not one but TWO sponsored Highest OTT Points rugs 🎉 - one in the 70cm and one in the 80cm classes! 🫶

After a year together, you can really see everything starting to click for this pair ✅ The trust, teamwork and confidence they've built are all coming together, and it's fantastic to see! 💫🐎

The QOTT-sponsored 💰 Nerang Pony Club Dressage & Combined Training event wrapped up a huge end-of-July with plenty of OTT action! 🐴✨
