Bowls Queensland is proud to announce the Queensland Kookaburras Para Men’s and Para Women’s teams selected to take on New South Wales in the upcoming 𝙌𝙇𝘿 𝙫𝙨 𝙉𝙎𝙒 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙏𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨.

This series marks an exciting step forward for the Queensland representative program, with these teams being the first selected following an overhaul of the selection process by the Bowls Queensland Selection Committee.

Selections were based on player results, game data collected throughout the 2026 State Championships and District Sides events, performances at the recent Australian Indoor Qualifiers, and observations from the BQ High Performance Development Camp.

Congratulations to 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝘼𝙧𝙢𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 and 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙬 𝙇𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙨, who have earned their place in the 2026 Australian Indoor Championships, to be held from August 10-13 at Club Tweed.

Armstrong secured his spot with a straight-sets victory over Wade Clayton: 10-4, 9-5.

Lucas booked his place after a hard-fought tiebreak win over Glen Clinckett: 4-6, 11-6, 4-3.

Our two men’s qualifiers will join women’s qualifier 𝘾𝙝𝙡𝙤𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 as Queensland’s representatives chase Australian Indoor Championship glory.
