A massive thank you to all our MATES in Energy Golf Day sponsors for your incredible support.

As our first-ever MATES in Energy Golf Day, this event was a huge milestone for us, and it would not have been possible without the organisations who got behind it from the start.

Your support helped bring the energy industry together for a day of connection, conversation, teamwork and plenty of laughs on the green. More importantly, it helped keep the message of mental health and su***de prevention front and centre across our industry.

To every sponsor who contributed, supported, showed up and helped make the day what it was: thank you.

We’re incredibly grateful for your generosity and your commitment to standing with MATES in Energy and helping look out for our mates. We can't wait to have you along for our next MATES in Energy Golf Day!

The first-ever MATES in Energy Golf Day has officially teed off, and what a way to kick things off!

Despite the wet weather, our teams turned up with great energy, plenty of laughs and a strong commitment to supporting mental health and su***de prevention across the energy industry. A little rain was never going to stop this crew from getting out on the course and making the day a success.

It’s been fantastic to see so many people come together, connect with their mates and get behind MATES in Energy’s first golf day. Events like this are about more than just golf. They’re about bringing our industry together, starting important conversations and reminding each other that support is always within reach.

A huge thank you to everyone who has come along, supported the day and helped make our first MATES in Energy Golf Day such a strong start.

STAY TUNED! We’ll be sharing more photos, highlights and information from the day soon!

A massive thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s MATES Big Lap!

Together, we raised over $83,000 and completed more than 85,000km. An incredible effort from everyone who walked, ran, rode, swam, skated or rolled their way through the challenge.

Every kilometre helped keep the conversation moving around mental health and su***de prevention across our industries.

A huge shoutout to all our incredible fundraisers who got behind the cause, rallied their mates and helped raise vital funds for MATES. Your support makes a real difference and helps us continue our work supporting workers, families and communities.

We also want to give a special shoutout to our top kilometre contributors. Your effort, consistency and commitment throughout the challenge was outstanding. You helped push the Big Lap further and showed what can happen when our MATES community gets moving together.

To every participant, fundraiser, sponsor and supporter: thank you for being part of it and for helping make this year’s Big Lap one to remember.

Together, we’re moving for mates.

Every morning, the Ergon crew at Julia Creek catch up under this tree for a cuppa, a chat, and to start the day together.

Around the table it got called a few different things, the family tree, the tree of knowledge, but one thing’s for sure: it’s a place where mates look out for each other.

We were lucky enough to spend 15 minutes with the crew last Wednesday morning, sharing a few laughs and getting to know the team. Even better, we found out that five of these legends are Connector trained, with the other two keen to jump into the next available session.
And honestly, that says everything about this depot.

Julia Creek is a great town, a great crew, and a place where people genuinely have each other’s backs.

Thanks for the warm welcome, JC. We’re already looking forward to the next visit.

Final day at the National Su***de Prevention Conference

It’s been a great few days connecting with people across the sector, sharing ideas, and continuing the conversation around how we work together to reduce su***de.

A real highlight has been catching up with the MATES team from across the country, coming together, sharing experiences, and reflecting on the work happening in different regions.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a chat — always valuable to connect, learn, and keep building momentum together.

🚨 FINAL DAY — THIS IS IT 🚨

The clock is ticking and MATES Big Lap finishes at midnight tonight.

This is your last chance to get those kms in and make them count. Whether it’s a walk, run, ride, swim or a quick gym session — every kilometre matters.

Don’t leave it to tomorrow. Get out there, give it one last push, and make sure you log your kms before the counter closes.

Let’s finish strong. For our mates.

🚨 2 DAYS LEFT — THIS IS IT 🚨

We’re in the final stretch of MATES Big Lap and time is almost up.

If you’ve been moving this month — walking, running, riding, hitting the gym — now’s the time to log your kms and make every bit count. Don’t leave them on the table.

Rally your crew, squeeze in those last kms, and give it one final push.

Let’s finish strong. For our mates.

Day one at the National Su***de Prevention Conference and we’re up and running

It’s been great catching up with so many organisations across the sector, sharing ideas, and learning how we can work together to reduce su***de and better support our communities.

We’re also proud to be sponsoring the annual Diego De Leo Address, with this year’s address delivered by Ian Thorpe AM — an important moment in the conference.

The team is here, connecting, sharing the work happening across MATES, and having some great conversations.

If you’re at the conference, come and say g’day — we’d love to have a chat.
