Empowerment Without Borders (EWB) Team Visits Displaced Communities in Eastern DRC

The EWB team in Uvira recently visited internally displaced people from Goma and Bukavu, listening to their powerful stories of resilience and survival. Many shared the harsh realities of their journey—fleeing conflict, losing their homes, and struggling to meet their basic needs.

This visit shed light on the urgent humanitarian challenges these communities face, especially the lack of access to essentials like food, clean water, and shelter. EWB remains committed to standing with displaced families and amplifying their voices, because true empowerment knows no borders.

A POWERFUL TESTIMONY FROM ONE OF THE BENEFICIARIES OF OUR RECENT SEED DONATION IN EASTERN DRC.

Empowerment Without Borders (EWB) recently provided essential seeds to victims of conflict in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, as part of our ongoing mission to strengthen food security in the region.

These individuals, many of whom have been displaced by violence, are now reclaiming their independence and restoring hope—one harvest at a time.

🌱AMDI and EWB, in partnership with the South Kivu provincial agriculture inspection, distributed seeds to farmers in Bagira on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

The aim was to promote food crops like beans, soy, and peanuts to combat food insecurity. 🪴

Beneficiaries committed to monitoring crop production and receiving technical support throughout the process. AMDI’s leadership and EWB raised awareness on proper seed usage.

The beneficiaries expressed a feeling of satisfaction after receiving the seeds and recommended the continuity of this charitable act in several corners of the City of BUKAVU.🌱
