Falesteen Inc. and the Palestinian community of Magan-djin are marching in the LUMINOUS Lantern Parade on Friday 31st July, 6pm at Southbank.

Line the bank of the river at South Bank to cheer for them, wave a Palestinian flag, or just to show up, as they carry their watermelon lanterns.

And stick around to enjoy the strength and beauty of Palestinian Dabke dancing on the main stage later in the evening 🇵🇸

🇵🇸 Walking for Gaza 🇵🇸

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“Whoever among you sees an injustice, let them change it with their hand; if they cannot, then with their tongue; and if they cannot, then with their heart.”

Dr Kassam Mohamed has spent his professional life bringing children safely into this world. Witnessing the immense suffering endured by the children of Gaza, he has chosen to act.

On Sunday, 12 July 2026, Dr Kassam will walk 40 kilometres to raise vital funds for the orphans and children of Gaza. Every kilometre walked is a step of solidarity, compassion, and hope for children who have endured unimaginable hardship.

We ask our community to stand with Dr Kassam by donating, sharing this campaign, and helping us reach as many people as possible.

Queensland Muslims Inc. is proud to stand alongside Justice for Palestine Magan-djin and the many organizations opposing the attacks on free speech led by David Crisafulli MP and the LNP government. These draconian laws are an indication the moral decline of our governing institutions.
We have a moral duty to demand an end to the genocide and to call for a Free Palestine. We encourage all members and supporters to take action.
