Thankyou Everyone for a great Redlands Adventure Festival Night Sky Astronomy Viewing. Even though we had to wait for gaps in the cloud, we still managed some great seeing. We had a great turnout of members and the public. We had all ages looking thru our scopes and watching live stream of targets. We had highlights of Venus, Jupiter and its 4 Jovian moons, our Moon and zooming in live bring our details in craters. We were also able to observe the constellations of Scorpio, Leo, Canis Major, Southern Cross and special targets including Alpha Centauri, Acrux, Jewel Box, globular cluster Omega Centauri and more. Please share any images you may have taken here. We're looking forward to seeing you all at future events.

There is an International Space Station (ISS) Lunar transit visible from the Redlands later this month (26/5). Hopefully the skies will clear for us and we can attempt to capture the event on camera.
Be sure to visit transit-finder.com closer to the date/time to ensure you get the exact timing for the event as this can change. Tracking the moon with high-speed video is the easiest way to capture this. Good luck and please share your results.
