We probably shouldn’t wear black on rescue transport missions, buttttt how would anyone know you got all those puppy cuddles! A weekend of transporting those big and small paws to their new furever homes. Thanks for having us - we couldn’t do what we do with transport if it wasn’t for the rescue organisations doing everything before and after a flight!

Today’s rescue transport with had a few moving parts to bring it all together. We travelled from archerfield to the sunshine cost to Rockhampton to Bundaberg and then back home! Here is a picture in Bundaberg just after refuelling, with the 4 kittens we collected in Rockhampton bound for Brisbane!

This rescue saw us heading to Biggendon west of Bundaberg to transport 6 kittens back to for their new beginnings! Thanks to H for taking on the role of copilot and in air support. Couldn’t do it without our plus ones in the cockpit!

This rescue saw our pawsenger getting that extra treatment! Kae and the RWL (Rescued With Love) team asked us if we could help get “Teddy” from Brisbane to Melbourne safetly and how could we say no.

Teddy was surrendered early last week - he encountered some health issues that needed immediate medical attention and intervention in order to give him the best chance in his years ahead! Teddy is 15, so he’s an old soul but that doesn’t mean his time here with us should be up, especially if we can ensure he can live his next years of life pain free and with a loving family! So Kae and RWL knew they could give that life and new home to Teddy by bringing on board to help with the mission!

This rescue introduces one of our key members of the operation, Dr Anthony. A close friend and talented senior vet whom has been in the industry for over 15 years.

When Teddy was first surrendered in Queensland he was taken to the Eatons Hill Veterinary Surgery where their team did Teddys initial work up, operation and immediate care to get him flight ready.

Dr Anthony then received a hand over from Dr Allen at the local clinic to ensure Teddy had the treatment and care required for the flight to Melbourne. Pain medications, lubricant for his eye, fluid needs and monitoring oxygen levels as we traveled. So our flight saw Dr Anthony making 15 minute check ins on Teddy while we were in the air and on route to Melbourne. We made a half way stop in regional New South Wales to give Teddy a stretch and a full body once over check and of course a much needed p*e break.

After that we topped up our fuel and continued the last leg of our journey meeting Kae and her team on the tarmac in Tyabb for a further hand over as she took him into the RWL family to continue his recovery and next steps into his new life of sunshine, treats and lots of cuddles.

A huge thanks from us to Kae and the RWL team for everything they do. plays our role in these rescues and emergency transport care but it’s only a small part of the cog to what the rescue organisations take on. ❤️

Thanks also to for welcoming us with open arms!
