I don’t know about you, but things started to feel different for me once I hit around 45.
Life just got… busier. The kids had school and endless activities, work was full-on, relationships needed attention and somewhere in the middle of all that, I felt like I’d kind of lost me.
Catching up with friends got harder too. Everyone’s juggling so much, and those catch-ups that used to give me life became few and far between.
I started asking myself: Who am I now? What do I even enjoy?
For me, the turning point was just getting outside and moving with friends. We started small—bush walks, bike rides, and always a coffee after (non-negotiable 😅)
That grew into the BABES community, a little space where women can find other women nearby to go on adventures with and actually have some fun again.
Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with strength training. What started as “let’s give this a go” has turned into something that makes me feel stronger, more confident, and honestly like I can handle just about anything life throws at me.
And it’s not just me—I’ve seen women in their 40s, 50s, even 60s, get stronger week by week. It’s seriously inspiring.
If any of this sounds familiar to you, tell me in the comments —I’d love to hear your story.
