The main objective of QOTA is to create and strengthen the Thomian brotherhood in QLD, Australia.

Queensland Old Thomians Association (QOTA) is the official body representing the past pupils of S Thomas College Mount Lavinia / Gurutalava / Bandarawella and S Thomas Prep School in QLD, Australia. We are committed to helping and uniting our members and represent our school with pride and honour in the communities we live and serve.

🎤🍻 What a night! QOTA Hopper & Karaoke Night 2026 absolutely delivered! 🇱🇰🤣

From legendary hopper stacks to “award-winning” karaoke performances (some better than others 👀😂), the night was filled with laughs, music, great food, and even better company.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and made the evening such a success. The dance moves got stronger as the night went on, the singing got louder, and somehow every table thought they had the next Sunil Perera sitting with them 🎶🔥

Special thanks to the team behind the scenes who helped organise another unforgettable QOTA night. Events like this remind us that no matter how long we have been out of school, Old Thomians still know how to eat, sing, laugh, and create memories together.

🌹 Happy Mother's Day 🌹

To every mother, grandmother, and mother figure in the Thomian family — today, we celebrate you.

To the mothers who packed our school bags, ironed our white uniforms, and waited at the gates with a smile. To the mothers who prayed for us through every exam, cheered loudest at every match, and believed in us even when we doubted ourselves.

To the wives and mothers of Old Thomians who continue to be the heart of our homes and the strength behind our community — your love, sacrifice, and grace do not go unnoticed.

To those celebrating, and to those holding cherished memories close today — we honour you all.

The wait is over… ONLY 5 SLEEPS TO GO! 😱🇱🇰
(Which means 5 more nights to practice your “Baila in the shower” and convince yourself you sound like Sunil Perera… but end up like your uncle at a wedding after 3 Lion Lagers 🍻😂)

🕕 Starts sharp at 6:00 PM (Sri Lankan time = please don’t make it 7:30 😉)
⏰ Wraps at 10:00 PM

Looks like the hoppers are working harder than our New Year diet plans… gone in no time! 😄🥞

Big thank you to everyone who grabbed a ticket – it’s shaping up to be a night full of laughs, loud singing (good and bad 😜), and plenty of good times.
