REBUILDING ... RENEWING ... RESTORING

Our vision is 'Total Redemption and Restoration of All Things'. It's been our vision here at Breakthrough Nation for at least the last 20 years, and here we are in 2026, feeling like we are starting all over again, and yet we are not. For anyone interested (there are many who are not! lol) our journey has been colourful, adventurous, filled with passion, shaken with mistakes, sparked with brilliance, saturated with honesty, spittled with loss, and redeemed by God's grace - working with youth, community, churches, governments (local and national), businesses and leaders across the Pacific.

So while it seems we are rebuilding, we are actually building upon more than 27 years of lessons, experience, projects, programmes, partnerships, relationships, and networks ... which actually means we have been building all along the way. 🥰

In this new season of our building, we have more CLARITY of who we are, and why we are here! And this makes us excited to bring to the world our flavour, our message, our experience, our love, our culture and our anointing ... to contribute to a more just, loving, fair and equitable world for future generations.

WELCOME to Breakthrough Nation! WATCH THIS SPACE ...

HEALTHY PACIFIC

Our BN branch in Tonga has been running health and wellbeing programs for the last 5 years with great success in weight loss, reduction of blood pressure and diabetes, increase in reproduction for women and many more healthy benefits to the body and mind.

According to the heart foundation in NZ, Pacific people are 1.2x more likely to live with heart disease than non-Pacific people and for women this statistic rises to 2.4x more likely. While Pacific people are known for their poor diet and sedentary lifestyle which leads to preventable health issues, BN is making a real difference in Tonga through our health program, seeing very positive results and outcomes.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT | Bougainville

Betty Toroama, First Lady of Bougainville and Patron of New Bougainville Foundation, hosted a women’s forum at the Presidential residence in Buka, which we were honored to be a part of. Gathering key women leaders from National government, community government, local and international NGO’s, we were able to hear the needs and issues of women in the nation at grassroots, then discuss strategies on how local and international partners can work together to provide solutions.

Plans are now underway for Breakthrough Nation to partner with RJM and New Bougainville Foundation to provide technical assistance and resources, to help with nation building in Bougainville.

SONS OF THUNDER | Bougainville

Yesterday was a significant start to our visit to Bougainville. Royree Jensen presented 100 copies of her book ‘Sons of Thunder’ to the Hon. Ishmael Torama, President of Bougainville, the Hon. Thomas Pataku, Minister of Education and Dorothy Kenneth, Secretary for Education, to be gifted to the high schools in the nation. Also in attendance was Betty Torama, First Lady of Bougainville, Esther Usurup, Deputy Secretary for Bougainville Executive Committee and Stephanie Elizer, Secretary for Dept. of Independence Mission. Tina Vaka, CEO of Breakthrough Nation assisted Royree Jensen in the presentation, alongside Sharene Huener, PA to Royree Jensen.

The book is an account of the crisis that took place in Bougainville in their struggle and fight for independence. It is also a documentation of the spiritual revival that took place parallel to this crisis. The Hon. Thomas Pataku stated that he hoped there would be more books written about the history, culture and traditions of Bougainville not only by international authors, but even more so by Bougainvillians.
