As you may know, our beautiful 2.5-year-old son, Ziggy, has been courageously battling Pearsons Syndrome since he was diagnosed at just 4 months old. Pearson’s Syndrome is a rare mitochondrial disease that affects many parts
of the body, making every day a challenge for our little warrior and our family.

Recently, Ziggy’s condition has taken a tough turn. We’ve faced almost back-to-back hospital admissions for various complications. The toll this has taken on Ziggy, and on us as parents, has been profound. Each hospital stay is a reminder of the relentless nature
of mitochondrial diseases, but it also strengthens our resolve to fight for a cure.

This is where we need your help.

We’re participating in The Mito Foundation’s Bloody Long Walk to raise funds and awareness for those affected by mitochondrial diseases, like Ziggy. The walk is more than just a physical challenge—it’s a symbol of hope, resilience, and the collective effort

Ziggy Raj took a trip around the sun!
This post was a difficult one…I had drafted a very lengthy, vulnerable, and somewhat corny post but decided to keep that one for the good ole’ journal.
What I will say is, this kid, is something else. His spirit, love and strength is something I will always aspire to. Sarsh and I have made a promise to Ziggy that he will never be disadvantaged or defined by his diagnosis. This promise we’ve been able to uphold with the love, support and generosity from all involved in Ziggy’s Backyard Blitz project and fund raising. Words could never adequately thank you enough.
Our moments of joy with Ziggy will always have a thin veil of grief, but I am learning that this is a gift in disguise, a reminder to be present and to not take any single moment with him for granted. Love you, our big 1 year old 💛🌸☀️🧡

We absolutely loved having Chippie on site. He gave us all the support and encouragement to dig deep and continue the hard yakka, whilst also hanging out and making new friends 💚🐶
