💛 A night of kindness, connection and little moments that matter in Brisbane 💛
Last night, our Serve the City Brisbane volunteers were back at ECM’s Night Sanctuary, where evenings are about so much more than a warm meal and a safe place to rest. They’re about dignity, belonging, kindness and making sure that those experiencing homelessness and hardship in our community feel welcomed, supported and seen. ❤️
And what a beautiful evening it was!
🛏️ We rolled up our sleeves and got the beds ready, preparing a welcoming space for the night.
🍽️ We helped serve dinner, with plenty of smiles, laughter and conversations along the way.
💌 And this time, we added a little something extra! Our volunteers wrote handwritten notes filled with hope, encouragement and warm wishes, leaving them on each bed for guests to discover. Little messages of kindness, just waiting to brighten someone’s evening. 💛
And then came our favourite part…
We all sat down for dinner TOGETHER! 🫶
Volunteers and guests, side by side, sharing food, stories, laughter and genuine moments of connection. Because at the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: kindness isn’t just about what we give, but also about the time we share and the connections we make.
What an incredible reminder that sometimes the smallest gestures can mean the most. ✨
💛 AND WE’RE BACK ON 3 NOVEMBER! More shared meals, more kindness and more beautiful moments together. We can’t wait!
