Flexible Living Volunteering Service is supported by government funding. We enhance and support the provision of services through facilitating and supporting the inclusion of volunteers within aged care and people with a disability organisations. We refer suitable people to volunteer positions, provide training, education, information and resources to these organisations and their volunteers. Thes
e organisations allow elderly people and people with a disability to live independently in their own homes and the community, by receiving support in domestic care and personal care services, respite services, meals on wheels, social support services, transport services, home maintenance and allied health services. Volunteering Service believes that all workers, regardless of paid or unpaid should be treated equally and fairly within the working environment. Volunteers are considered as a member of the staff and are to be given the same consideration and respect that paid staff and management are given and in return volunteers are to work in a dignified manner within the guideline of the organisation and funding body.
