💜 Recently we were delighted to welcome Graeme and Monica Spender to Peggy's Place.

It was a privilege to show them around our service, share our vision, and talk about the lives being transformed through recovery, healing and hope.

We are incredibly grateful that Graeme and Monica have chosen to become regular donors to Peggy's Place in memory of the late Dale Spender AM.

Dale was a pioneering Australian feminist scholar, educator, author and advocate who dedicated her life to advancing equality for women. Her work has inspired generations, and we are deeply honoured that her legacy will continue through support that helps women and children rebuild their lives after domestic and family violence.

To honour Dale's extraordinary contribution, we are proud to display her photograph alongside one of her powerful quotes at Peggy's Place. The portrait is beautifully reflected in shades of purple, Dale's favourite colour, which also symbolises courage, dignity and justice for women. Together, they serve as a daily reminder of the importance of standing up for women and creating a future free from violence.

To Graeme and Monica, thank you for your generosity, kindness and commitment. Your ongoing support will help create lasting change for the women and children who call Peggy's Place home, ensuring Dale's legacy continues to inspire hope for generations to come.

We were delighted to welcome Lorilie Cunningham to Peggy's Place and to share the work we do supporting women and children as they recover, rebuild and move towards a brighter future after experiencing domestic and family violence.

Pictured with our Founder and Director, Peggy Flannery, Lorilie took the time to learn more about our unique transitional recovery model and the importance of providing women and children with the time, support and opportunities they need to heal and thrive.

💜 Happy International Pajama Day! 💜

Today, the Peggy's Place team swapped our work attire for our favourite pyjamas to support International Pajama Day! 💤🌙

While it was a fun day filled with comfy robes, slippers and plenty of smiles, it also served as an important reminder that every child deserves the comfort, warmth and security of a safe place to call home.

At Peggy's Place, we're privileged to support women and children as they rebuild their lives beyond domestic and family violence. Creating spaces where families can feel safe, supported and at home is at the heart of everything we do.

💜 Vacancies Available at Peggy's Place 💜

Over the past few weeks, we have proudly supported 4 families to successfully transition into safe, independent housing as they begin the next chapter of their lives.

As these families move forward, we now have vacancies available and are welcoming new referrals from domestic and family violence agencies and refuges.

Peggy's Place provides medium-term, trauma-responsive accommodation and recovery-focused support for women and children, helping families rebuild their lives in a safe, nurturing environment.

As Peggy's Place is a communal living environment, referrals must be assessed as low to medium risk and be suitable for shared accommodation.

If you are supporting a woman and her children who may be suitable for Peggy's Place, we would love to hear from you.
