As we reflect on Financial Year 2025–26, together we celebrated and together we grew.
It has been a remarkable year for Brihan Maharashtra Mandal, Queensland Inc (BRIMMQ), defined by strong community participation, cultural pride, meaningful engagement, and growing recognition across Brisbane’s multicultural landscape.
This year was not just about delivering successful events, it was about creating platforms, building participation, and shaping the future of our community.
🌟 Annual Events & Programs – Bigger & Better
BRIMMQ delivered some of its most vibrant and well-attended programs to date:
MHJ Live 2026
A blockbuster Marathi entertainment event that set a new benchmark in Brisbane, with a sold-out meet & greet and an electrifying audience response.
Lord Ganesh Festival 2025
Our flagship celebration continued to grow in scale and devotion, bringing families together and strengthening cultural roots across generations.
Makarsankranti Celebration
A traditional gathering celebrating harvest, heritage, and togetherness through rituals, food, and community bonding.
Community Picnic
A relaxed and engaging event fostering informal connections, family participation, and community spirit.
आपली मराठी शाळा (Apali Marathi Shala)
Serving the community since 2011–12, the Shala continues to evolve with significant growth in enrolments and renewed community interest, strengthening language and cultural learning for the next generation.
Marathi Akashwani (मराठी आकाशवाणी – आपली वाणी, आपली गाणी)
Operated under Radio 4EB, this growing initiative provides a dynamic platform for youth engagement, cultural expression, and community storytelling.
🌟 New Initiatives – Investing in the Future
This year marked a shift towards community-led growth and innovation:
BRIMMQ स्वरसंध्या – आपली माणसं, आपली गाणी
A cultural investment showcasing local talent, inspiring the next generation, and strengthening Marathi musical identity.
BRIMMQ Career Mentorship Program
Interactive sessions supporting students, young professionals, and families to explore career pathways through community-led knowledge sharing.
BRIMMQ Raanwata – Trekking Group
A dedicated platform promoting wellbeing, outdoor engagement, and stronger community bonding.
BRIMMQ कलामंच – Performing Arts Group
A new initiative to promote Marathi theatre, including one-act plays and drama, creating opportunities for artistic expression and participation.

The Community Feedback & Engagement Survey marked a key milestone in strengthening a member-first approach.
Community Awareness Campaigns
Focused initiatives addressing important social topics while promoting responsible participation and evolving digital engagement practices.
Promoting Small Businesses, specially led by women
BRIMMQ continued to offer necessary support and platform for the small businesses during all of our programs, and those specially led by women.
Digital Ecosystem Expansion
With over 8000+ digital touchpoints, BRIMMQ has significantly strengthened its communication, outreach, and community connectivity.
