We had a great turnout today, tidied up lots of weeds and had a lovely catch-up over coffee at the end.

The pitter patter of rain this morning is just enough to halt our working bee. No bushcare this morning, hopefully see eveyone next week!

No working bee today. After a decent drop of rain overnight we'll keep our boots dry and let the bush do its thing for a week. Hopefully see you Sunday for the Cane Toad Hunt!

This Sunday with the help of Corrine McMillan MP and B4C we're hosting a Toad Hunt! We'll meet at 6:30pm for a quick debrief and then get stuck into those pesky toads.

The more the merrier, if you'd like to join us please follow the Eventbrite link to reserve your spot.

Team up with Corrine McMillan MP and Mackenzie Bushcare to help kick some cane toad butt and protect our local wildlife!

No working bee today. Although we didn’t get the inundation that was forecast (7.5mm in Mackenzie) it looks like it will be just wet enough to dampen our efforts outdoors. See you next week!

Most of our intrepid group of dedicated volunteers were able to meet up this morning for an end-of-year coffee and nosh-up at a nearby cafe. We'll be back in the bush next year, re-invigorated for more maintenance of our slice of Brisbane's bushland. Merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy new year.

Sometimes the critters in the bush are just as keen on morning tea time as we are!

Sometimes we see beautiful objects in the bush that just make you stop and look.

These fungi (species unknown), along with many other types, are a joy to view if you have the time and interest.

While working in Bushcare activities we often see sights that remind us that the bush is a beautiful and unique place full of delightful objects (I won't get too carried away here, but I hope you get the message).

This Friday morning at 8am we will again gather at the Shed for the last Bushcare working bee of the year.

Come and join us and help care for our local habitat.
