South Sudanese in Queensland Vision: To improve the wellbeing of the people of the South Sudanese origin residing in Queensland State.

Mission: To unify South Sudanese community and contributes positively to the economic & social fabric of the larger Queensland society. The Republic of South Sudan gained independence on July 9th 2011 after a lengthy struggle. As such, South Sudanese in Queensland founded and established South Sudanese Community Association in Queensland to cater for the welfare and wellbeing, advocate on behalf o

f the people of South Sudan residing in the State of Queensland, Australia. The organisation was launched in conjunction with the Independence of the Republic of South Sudan.

Ref: 15th Anniversary of South Sudan 🇸🇸 Independence Day Celebration/Commemoration for 2026

Dear esteemed members of the South Sudanese community, leaders, service providers, and friends,

The leadership of the South Sudanese Community Association of Queensland (SSCAQ) Inc. cordially invites all South Sudanese, service providers, and friends of South Sudan to attend the South Sudan Independence Day (9th July) celebration/commemoration, scheduled for 11/07/2026 in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.

The leadership urges the entire South Sudanese community and the general public to participate in large numbers to celebrate/commemorate this momentous historical day for South Sudan.

It is of great significance to reflect on the journey, commitments, sacrifices, and hardships that have led to our nation's independence.

This protracted journey has been marked by both challenges and triumphs, which have shaped our history and must continue to be remembered and honoured wherever we are and wherever we may be going.

Our national days serve as significant platforms and opportunities to demonstrate our unity as one nation, community, and people.

We are delighted and eager to see you all during the upcoming celebrations and commemoration of the 15th Anniversary of South Sudan Independence Day for 2026.
