The Bangla New Year was celebrated in Brisbane on 18 April 2026 organised by Bangladesh Puja and Cultural Society ( BPCS-Brisbane). This vibrant event brought together the community in a joyful display of culture, unity, and tradition. The event was filled with warmth and happiness, highlighted by a beautifully arranged lunch featuring a variety of delicious dishes, followed by an irresistible spread of traditional sweets.

Families and friends enjoyed the lively atmosphere, sharing laughter, music, and cultural pride, making the celebration truly memorable and a perfect start to the Bangla New Year 1433.

In addition to the festivities, BPCS also held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), providing an important platform for members to reflect on the past year’s activities and briefly discuss future plans.

Bangladesh Puja & Cultural Society (BPCS, Brisbane) has celebrated Saraswati Puja at the Acacia Community Hall on the 23 rd January 2026.

Following the call of Australian Federation for Ethnic and Religious Minorities in Bangladesh , attendees also observed a moment of silent vigil, as a peace full protest against the ongoing injustice and brutality held on the religious minorities in Bangladesh
