PEG the PUG - Sh*tbox Rally

We are home! Alice Springs to Gold Coast. Buddy Group 7 first over the finish line! So yes, we won the rally! A great week! This Rally sure had some excitement… weather is something we haven’t really considered before. Lots of laughs, lots of memories and new friendships formed! Peg the Pug received a nomination for most authentic Sh*tbox - not sure if that is a compliment but we wouldn’t change her for anything (except maybe air con 😜). Thank you to everyone who donated along the way, it was a record breaking rally amount again with recognition of $60 million being raised since 2010!

Dress up day today… an eventful day yesterday for some of our buddy Group members. Peg is still doing great… no air con anymore and found the cause of the burning rubber… just a few minor repairs but nothing zip ties can’t fix!

We’ve arrived in Alice and have been reunited with Peg - in one piece!
It’s been a bit hot here so a few plastic things in the car have warped and melted over the past few weeks.
Peg started a little rough… spark plugs may have been a little dirty.
She’s running well today and looking forward to meeting our Buddy Group tonight!
Here we go! 🤞

Getting nervous and excited with one week to go. Reflecting on where this started with our first Fighters and Fallen Toyota Avensis.
Sadly more have started to fight and some have fallen since writing these names but we will continue to remember them and share their memories with our loved ones! Thank you everyone for your support! 🥰
