Brighton Playcentre / Playgroup
This will be the final post from Brighton Playcentre/Playgroup. As stated in our earlier notice, our Centre will permanently close its doors on Tuesday, 16th December 2025.
It is with a very heavy heart that this much-loved Centre will now cease to operate. During my long tenure as the Playcentre Co-ordinator, it has been a cherished privilege to meet so many supportive members of our community, along with fantastic and devoted families and their beautiful children.
Every Playcentre session has brought great joy and delight to my life. It truly has been the most rewarding job to watch “our children” leave the Centre with the confidence and skills that enable them to settle into “Big School” so well. Our children have grown into fine young adults who make us all so proud. The hard work involved in educating and nurturing them has been so worthwhile.
I would personally like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Maree, who has been such a wonderful co-worker. Her fantastic support, extra efforts, and dual roles as Aide and Treasurer have been invaluable and have played a vital and key part in the life of the Centre.
We have both loved the children as if they were our own, and it is with genuine tears in my eyes that we thank you all for the many beautiful, precious, and treasured memories we will hold in our hearts and minds forever.
We wish all our families, both past and present, a joyful Christmas and a wonderful 2026. To the many children we have had the privilege to educate over the years, we wish you a long, healthy, happy, meaningful, and successful life.
