Happy Mother’s Day Weekend! 💖

Library has been topped up today. Sorry it had gotten quite low, but I’ve topped up all sections including a big clean out of my kids young readers.

If you are dropping books on the front porch Cricket the puppy is now 7 months and almost 30kg of crazy excitement. She’s very jumpy and you can now pat her at the top of the fence if you call her to jump up. She’s also eating everything, socks are her favourite to swallow and pass out the other end 🤦🏻‍♀️.

So if you are leaving books on the porch, please be careful she will jump and try to love you to death. If you could also shut the porch gate to stop her having a munch on any donations that would be most appreciated. 📚😬🧦

Happy holidays!! 🐣🐰

So the library got a little glow up today … Charlie has selected Enchanted Red as the new door colour and I’ve given the whole thing a new paint and tidy now that I have a lot more free time on my hands.

The books are being left out while things dry and I have the door propped open. I did have it temporarily wedged open with my bottle of sugar soap spray until someone decided to take it for themselves…books are free not the painting supplies if you’d care to return it.

Can you help?

One of our library visitors has left us a note about a book she may have inadvertently donated to the library. We’ve looked through our excess pile out back and can’t locate it but I did just do a massive restock. If you have picked up Salem Street by Anna Jacob’s (not sure which cover sorry) we’d love to be able to return this one to its owner. You can pop it in the basket by the door so it doesn’t go home with someone again.

Just be careful of Cricket the puppy, she is very very jumpy and is desperate for any type of attention 🫣 she’s going to be a 30kg lap dog at this rate. Anyway if you close the gate on the front porch also this will stop her thinking it’s a new chew toy … 🙏🏼🫶 Lea.

So earlier in the year our 17 year old senior girl Jazz left us and we haven’t been as vigilant with the gate closing … over the weekend however that all changed and the place turned into a fortress as hubby tried to puppy proof the yard.

This little ball of mischief (after much debate) is called … Cricket 🦗… she is an 8 week old German Shorthaired Pointer and a very big bundle of super lovable energy.

You are still welcome to pop books on the veranda in the basket but just be on the look out for the little demon trying to escape. She is still very young and not fully vaccinated so please check the gate is closed securely.
