We are excited to share that we will manage 44 Safe Homes properties across the state, in partnership with Homes Tasmania, to bridge the gap between crisis accommodation and long-term housing.

We were pleased to welcome the Hon. Julie Collins MP, the Hon. Kerry Vincent MLC, the Hon. Rebecca White MP and Anna Balmforth from Homes Tasmania at our Newtown development today to celebrate Homes Tasmania securing $15.7 million to deliver a further 37 homes across 15 projects statewide. This will strengthen the Safe Homes Program and increase the supply of transitional housing for women and children escaping family and domestic violence.

Loreto Community Housing will manage a total of 44 Safe Homes properties across Tasmania, providing tenancy and property management, along with personalised support through our Client Support Program. Our Client Wellbeing Coordinators will work alongside tenants to connect them with the services they need, helping to sustain tenancies, improve wellbeing, build independence, and support pathways into long-term housing.

We are proud to play a key role in delivering safe, secure homes and support for Tasmanians when they need it most.

It was great to welcome the Honourable Rebecca White MP to our Bridgewater site yesterday to chat about the Key Apprenticeship Program, an Australian Government initiative providing up to $10,000 in financial incentives for apprentices.

Free STEAMM workshops! 🧠🥳

Our very first FREE STEAMM workshops are coming to Rokeby, and registrations are open now.

🗓️ Saturday 3 October 2026
📍 Grace Centre, 11 Ralph Terrace, Rokeby

🤖 Two hands-on sessions with Dash robots:
• Ages 6 to 9: 10:00am – 11:30 am
• Ages 10 to 12: 1:00pm – 2:30 pm

Children will use Dash robots to explore robotics, coding and problem-solving through fun, hands-on activities, all guided by our STEAMM facilitator. No experience needed, just curiosity. A parent or guardian must remain in the room for the full duration of the session. This is a requirement for every child attending the workshop.

Households in Clarence can book a free collection of up to two mattresses, making it easier to clear out those old mattresses taking up space.
