Thank You Richmond & Coal River Valley Communities

65ACU would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Richmond and Coal River Valley communities for recognising and supporting the efforts of our cadets during the ANZAC Day catafalque party.

Our cadets were proud to represent the unit and honour the ANZAC tradition through their commitment, discipline, and respect during these important commemorative services.

We greatly appreciate the warm reception, encouragement, and recognition from the local community. Your support means a great deal to our cadets and helps reinforce the importance of service, remembrance, and community spirit.

Thank you for standing with us and acknowledging the dedication of our young cadets.

ANZAC DAY 2026 🌅

65 Army Cadet Unit was honoured to take part in ANZAC Day services across New Norfolk, Brighton, Richmond, Kempton and Bagdad.

Our cadets showed exceptional respect, teamwork and pride while representing both the unit and the wider community, paying tribute to those who have served and continue to serve our country.

A big thank you to all cadets, staff and communities involved for making the day so meaningful.

Lest We Forget.

🚨 Important Information 🚨

We wish to advise that, due to unforeseen circumstances and limited personnel and cadet availability, we are unfortunately unable to participate in the main march through the Hobart CBD this year.
Our capacity has been significantly impacted as we are currently supporting more than a dozen catafalque parties across the southern region of Tasmania. As a result, we are unable to form a platoon to enter the march; this was confirmed during this weekend’s ANZAC Preparation Camp.

Accordingly, no cadet is to attend the main march in uniform under any circumstances.Cadets who wish to watch the parade may do so in civilian attire only.
Cadets who are participating in a Dawn or Morning Service at an RSL and wish to attend the main march after their duties have been completed must change into plain civilian attire prior to attending.

We understand this is not an ideal situation; however, we are looking into plans for more support, options and availability for the wider community for Anzac Day 2027 in conjunction with RSL Tasmania.

Any queries please contact Unit ACS.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Happy 13th Birthday, Cadet Fox! 🎉

Last parade night, we celebrated a very special milestone as Cadet Fox officially turned 13! Having only joined us earlier this year, she has already shown great enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to learn.

It’s been fantastic to see her settle into cadets so quickly and become part of the team. We’re excited to watch her continue to grow, develop new skills, and take on new challenges in the months ahead.

Wishing her a wonderful birthday and a year full of success, confidence, and achievement — both in cadets and beyond! 🎂💪

Absolutely amazing effort from the whole drill team — you’ve all done yourselves proud! 👏
