There’s nothing quite like winter in Bridgetown...

Misty mornings, roaring fires, crisp forest air and a town full of cosy cafés, local treasures and hidden surprises... and this July, there’s even more reason to visit.

As part of Fridgetown Fest 2026, we’re officially celebrating the grand opening of Puzzletown6255 on Saturday 4 July.

Join us for a full day of puzzles, community celebration and family fun, including the unveiling of the 54,000-piece puzzle, timed puzzle competitions, the reveal of a limited-edition Mr Bob puzzle and more.

Then from 6pm, the celebrations continue with our Speed Puzzling Cocktail Event - a fun evening of rotational team puzzling and friendly competition.

We’re thrilled to share that the Charge Up project, delivered collaboratively by the Bridgetown Greenbushes Business and Tourism Association and the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes, was named a finalist in the WA Local Government Place Innovation Awards 2026 last Friday 8 May.

Being recognised at a state level is a fantastic achievement and reflects the innovation, collaboration and vision behind this project, positioning Bridgetown as a leader in regional EV infrastructure.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported the journey so far, including our project partners, community and supporters. This is just the beginning.

From the very beginning, the goal for Bridgetown’s EV charging station was clear: deliver ultra-fast charging powered by renewable energy.

Today, that vision is a reality.

The system combines locally generated solar power with Green Power sourced from the grid, ensuring every charge is backed by renewable energy. Our onsite solar installation produces over 55,000 kWh annually, while additional Green Power supports the remaining energy required helping drive the broader transition to renewables across WA.

At the heart of the system is advanced battery storage, which allows the station to operate efficiently on a standard connection, store excess solar energy, and reduce demand on the grid during peak periods.

The result is a smart, sustainable solution designed specifically for regional communities.

So when you plug in at Bridgetown, you’re not just charging your car, you’re supporting a cleaner way to travel.
