Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The long-awaited restoration of the Terminus Building is now underway. This important work is essential to preserve the 130-year-old building and ensure it can continue serving our community centre and Bridgetown’s only day care centre for years to come.

A Traffic Management Plan for the site was prepared by a qualified consultant. However, we understand there have been concerns raised about the positioning of barriers and aspects of the traffic management arrangements, particularly in relation to the nearby school crossing.

Please be assured that safety remains our highest priority. We are actively working with the construction company, project manager, traffic management consultant and the Shire ensure the site is managed as safely as possible for all members of the community.

We appreciate the community’s feedback and will continue to monitor the situation throughout the restoration works.

June is Pride Month. This is an annual celebration that recognizes the contributions and struggles of the LGBTQ+ community.

It promotes acceptance, diversity, and love while advocating for equal rights and visibility. The month-long observance includes parades, festivals, marches, educational events, and discussions that highlight the importance of inclusivity and human rights. Join any of our events and you will be made welcome!

June was chosen for Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots of June 1969, a pivotal moment in LGBTQ+ history that sparked the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement.
