TRUNK OR TREAT! 31 October 2026

A trunk or treat fundraiser is a Halloween event where kids collect lollies from decorated car trunks in a carpark.

Instead of going door to door, families walk from car to car in a designated parking area, collecting treats from creatively decorated car boots (or trunks). Each participant, often called a trunker, decorates their vehicle with fun, spooky, or themed displays.

How to participate:
1. Become a 'Trunker' - want to get involved and bring the Halloween spirit? Become a 'Trunker' a reserve a spot to display your decorated car. Prize for the best decorated car. (Please note - trunkers will need to arrive by 3.30pm at the latest). More instructions will be forwarded when you register.

2. Be a 'Treater' - book tickets for you and the kids to come along and enjoy the Trunk or Treating. Entry fee will get you a spot to visit all the Trunks and collect lollies. You can enjoy the playground afterwards or even enjoy a picnic. Costumes encouraged!

This event is open to the whole community but aimed at younger children. All children under 11 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

PLAYGROUP IS BACK
TUES 20 OCTOBER - 9-11am

The concrete has been completed! So, we are able to welcome all our friends back for Playgroup next Tuesday.

Our Playgroup is on from 9-11am every Tuesday during the school term, for ages 0-5 years old.

Please note that there will still be construction fencing in the playground, so please make sure you follow any signage or instructions.

If you haven't been to playgroup before you don't need to book, you can just show up. Please bring a piece of fruit if you can for morning tea. There will be craft, games, outdoor play, songs and a book. It is a good opportunity to connect with other parents of pre-school children.

We are located on the corner of Roe and Steere Street, with access to parking from Roe Street. You will then need to make your way down the paths and through the wooden gate with the playgroup sign on it. We have EFTPOS available or you can pay cash (50cent discount for cash).

It's that time of year - AGM season!

Bridgetown Hub Inc will hold our Annual General Meeting on Monday 7 December at 1.30-3.00pm. The meeting will be held in our meeting room at the Hub, cnr of Roe and Steere Streets.

All community members are welcome to attend. To be able to vote at the meeting, or if you would like to join the committee you must be a member of the Hub.

WE ARE BACK!
BABY AND TODDLER PARENT GROUP - FRI 16 OCTOBER

This parent's group is on every Friday from 10 - 12pm. Come and meet other parents of young children (under 2yo).

This group is the perfect way to make new friends, build your local support network and have fun together. Participation by gold coin donation.

We are located on the corner of Roe and Steere Street, with access to parking from Roe Street. You will then need to make your way down the paths and through the wooden gate with the playgroup sign on it.

SMILING STARTS will be back at the Hub on TUESDAY 20 OCTOBER. It is a FREE service for children under 5 years old. just pop in any time after 9:30am or book your session with the QR code. Select it from the drop-down menu.

SMILING STARTS offers access to oral health information, screenings and preventive care, ensuring a healthier future for every young smile in our State. You have to be a resident of the Southwest of WA to access this free service.

FOODBANK - Tomorrow 13 October

Foodbank is on tomorrow, from 10.45 - 11.30am. at ST PAULS CHURCH - Corner Philips and Hampton Street.

The lovely Foodbank volunteers come to town twice per month, on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

Make sure you bring your own bags and remember that EFTPOS is preferred. No cash or change carried. Please get your referrals from the Bridgetown Hub.
