The Australian Puntland Diaspora Forum Inc. (APDF) warmly invites all members of the Puntland community to attend our upcoming community general meeting.

This gathering is an important opportunity for our community to come together, discuss key issues affecting our people, share updates, strengthen unity, and plan for the future together.

On 3 May 2026, I had the honour of attending and speaking at a very well attended community workshop alongside many inspiring young people, families, and community members other leaders.

As Chair of the Australian Puntland Diaspora Forum Inc. (APDF), I spoke about the importance of advocacy, youth engagement, and making sure our community’s voice is heard in the spaces where decisions are made.

I shared that leadership begins in spaces like these — where people come together, connect, learn, and build solutions for the future.

Seeing such a strong turnout reminded me of something important: our community is not standing still. We are moving forward.

As a young leader, I didn’t stand there because I had all the answers, but because I deeply believe in the potential of our people especially our young people.

Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and helped create such a positive and empowering environment.
