Every journey starts with one small step and with CONFIDENCE we can achieve greatness. The Toastmasters programme is designed to help you gain confidence through public speaking. You learn how to present speeches in front of a small group and at the same time building your self CONFIDENCE Burdekin Toastmasters has been meeting for over 40 years. The club has one foundation member as well as a number of members with many years’ experience. This provides the club with a wealth of expertise to coach and mentor new members. The club follows the proven guidelines set down by Toastmasters International to enhance it's members objectives in learning communication and leadership skills. This is becoming more and more important in today’s world with changes in communication technology, and demands for more effective leadership in society. If you need to improve the way you communicate and lead people in your workplace and other organizations in your community, Burdekin Toastmasters can help you.Due to modern technology it doesn't matter if you live if you live in the Burdekin area or elsewhere we can accommodate you–either face to face or via zoom. Toastmasters is a self paced learning process.The speed at which you progress will depend on your own comfort level, available time and commitment.
